I just ordered Flora Gro and Flora Bloom I didn't order the Flora Micro. Can you use just the Bloom and Gro or is the Micro absolutely necessary right away or can I wait a couple weeks and just get away with the Bloom and Grow for a couple weeks?

You need the micro more than the grow portion. A lot of people including myself only use micro and bloom (Lucas Formula)

You should have done your homework. It's micro and bloom you use to do Lucas Formula. Order Micro and use all 3 now. If you've got gro, you might as well use it. If you run recirculating water schedules like RDWC, DwC, or NFT, use this:Recirculating-Nutrient-Schedule-custom-sm.jpg

Yea I said fuck it and just paid the 30$for the bottle at the store. I always used an A and B solution before this. I got all 3 so might as well use all of em together.

Is there anymore benefit using the GRO? what is the difference you find without it?
i use Lucas too but more for bloom. i think you can dial in the vegging phase better if you use all 3. the GH feed chart on their website is a good guide to follow for the veg phase.

What kind of media are you growing in. I use Lucas for hydro, head formula for coco. Works great. Interesting fact. I used the recommended dose by GH in my DWC. My buddy, who was growing the same clones with the same brand light as me misread the directions and used 1/5 the recommended amount. He had a bigger yield. Based on that fact I'd go with the chart airwalker posted.

do you remember the EC/ppm's you were at?

i go for a simple 4 pt EC curve: 0.2 for seedlings, 0.6 for early to mid veg, 1.2 for rest until 2 weeks to finish, 0.6 last 2 weeks.

that's worked for me in dwc, rdwc, and now in hempy buckets.

The Micro has all the micronutrients and all the calcium. It also has all the nitrogen when using the Bloom with it. The Grow also has a little nitrogen in it, so you get a bit more nitrogen in the veg phase. You wouldn't use all 3 together. You would use Grow + Micro in veg and Bloom plus Micro in flowering.

And about the Lucas formula. That's just one guy's personal preference. If you want to copy that guy instead of following the actual directions, that's your call. I follow the directions on my nutes, personally, or usually use a little less than specified because it's medium in pots instead of recirculating so it gets stronger as water is absorbed. I figure GH probably knows a little more about how to use their nutes than some guy. I just use the FloraNova one part though. Messy but works well and less bottles around.

see GH feed chart for recirc and drain to waste hydro. i think it's 2.5, 2.5, 2.5 for seedlings. all of veg is using all 3 parts. micro, bloom, grow.

and Lucas was hardly one guy. don't disrepect the early pioneers. @potroast
Oh, I guess they do recommend using all three at once. I never used that line, just FloraNova. Seemed logical to just use grow and mic in veg and bloom and mic in flowering. Screw that shit, I'll stick with the 1 part.

It's actually funny that the major hydro nute company has totally geared their feed charts to growing dope. It's like nobody grows vegetables anymore. The fertilizer industry has been completely reorganized to cater to dopers. It's fucking hilarious.

It has nothing to do with "personal preference" it's based on the FACT that micro and bloom together contain everything your plant needs to grow healthy all the way to harvest. Just because GH wants to sell you 3 bottles doesn't make it optimal...The fact is using a 1:2 ratio is safer and better for your plants and cheaper. Less chance of over fert and needlessly wasting nutrients that aren't needed.

Well I document everything, im cloning the same plant so I will use all 4 while I have gro, and when gro is run out ill just use the Bloom and Micro and record my progress see if I notice any change. Certainly what I know about botany, using the gro does make sense if you want to micro manage every phase of the plants life cycle, but will that necessarily mean more veg growth? More node sites? Ill track it and see Im all about going cheaper so If I can eliminate one bottle.

The biggest annoyance is that I am on well water so my starting PH is high, over 7 closer to 8, I can use lemon juice but does the lemon juice have a buffer? That Ph down shit is pricey especially when Im topping off every second day, any advice? I know PH is important, but I did 3 grows about 2 years ago and never used any PH down and the plants where great....
