Flip these bitches?

Topped them a couple weeks ago aND bottom branches are catching up and naturally filling in the small screen I have in a small cabinet.

Thinking it's time to flip to 12/12 to make sure I don't over grow my space and can manage the stretch in the spaces that remain on the screen.

Agree disagree?

What do you call this method of advice? Blindly stabbing into the dark? Cause thats what i call it.

To the op, how much vertical height do you have still? How much light are you using, and how big are the contaiers theyre in. A side shot of all of the set up would help to determine when to flip.

If you have lots of height, lots of light, and large pots, id say top again and fill the screen more. If any of these things are lacking it will affect when you want to flip.

Got 22 inches to the tip top, but adjusting lights and taking out the bottom bulb I can get another foot and a half max

Re build that b/s arrayso it suits the shape of the grow

then lower it right down to 1-2 inches, a fan won't go amiss

Certianly doesnt look good in that pic because I raised it just to show the max height, I drop it and adjust the arms to within a inch or two of the leaves.

This is how I would normally keep it and raise and adjust as needed.

But back to my original question......

Don't want to over grow the box, and I am fine if I realize at the end of the run I could have gone another week or two (still feeling out the Mico growing)

Should I flip these bitches to 12/12 and stretch, fI'll in the screen and ensure I don't max out my clearance?

I'm leaning towards doing it tonight, already adding 2700k bulbs....

They have had nutes, not much IMO but was dealing with burn (can see in my journal) I have not given them any fresh nutes in a couple weeks. just top off with a couple drops along the way

Just did a fresh nute mix on her today tho , having trouble finding what she likes

Dude you didnt have a clue what he has going on there, and your "advice" could have put his grow in jeopardy because you dont know any details of what hes fed if anything, or his container size. What if your "advice" soaked his root zone for a week cause he has cold temps. And what if the guys never fed anything, so what little nutrients were in his soil got leached away and now he cant water or feed for 4 days to a week? Your a fool if you think that you can read the scenario and one crispy leaf tip as he needs to flush. Theres no clawing, no burnt tips, and no chance that you were right either. Sorry. Thanks for playing.

You look like you have a ton of vertical clearance which is great. I cant tell what size container its in but roots equal fruits so if you want to make the growing container as big as possible if its not there already it wouldnt hurt.
Also theres way more screen to fill. With all that vertical space still, i wouldnt be afraid to keep growing outwards to get into the last squares of the screen. I think your screen looks just fine and the set up is working well. Dont change a thing until youve decided you need some hid lighting after a couple grows

Read up in the scroggers unite thread for some good info and watch how those guys fill their screens up. Its pretty cool stuff.

Yea the picture when I look at it looks more spacious than in real life I think. def been reading all over and had found that last stretch will help fill it out and was worried about over growing it

1.5 gal res, pretty small but roots are full and thirsty. didn't top for 2 days and they sucked it all up!!

Been looking at some other lighting options for next time ordered and returned a few fixtures to amazon in the last 30 days lol

I'd give them a few days more at least. And tug the tops under the net spread out to the corners and edges completely.

Like this for the one side of the net.

Ik this is some one else's post but I was wondering if anybody had any good advice.i woke up this morning and my one plant is wilted. Idk what strain it is. Idk why it's wilting. I haven't done anything different than the rest of the plants. They are grown hydroponically I am changing out the water tomorrow. I just woke up and the leaves where curling and wilted. Any good advice would be helpful. Thanks.

I was going to use the stretch in flower to accomplish that, also figured it would go faster than staying in veg.

Any benefit to leaving it in veg for that?

I was under the impression that you should do all the LST/Scrogging in veg as to not stress the plant or make it expend energy on fixing itself that it could be using for producing buds.

I might be wrong though.

Longer veg equals more flower. Larger root ball equals more flower. Usually the goal of scrog is to fill the horizontal plane the light will touch. When its full you utilize the full potential of the light bulb on a horizontal plane. Hope it all goes well.
