Flavors By Region

In everyone’s experience
what are the typical flavor profiles you find per region, particularly with landrace strains?
Currently working on this Laos X Chem D cross
Putting her to Purest Indica
Purist Indica has an insane amount of resin on it for an old-school plant
And it’s not cookies
The goal is to keep the effect of the chemD X Laos
Add resin via purest Indica
And find a fruity flavor somewhere.
It’s just for me, not for anyone sale or anything , but
Would love to hear everyone’s experience with flavors/smells so terpenes lol
and where they have found them

Limonene seems to be the predominant terpene in most modern, commercial strains. Most of the really tasty terpenes have been bred out of marijuana. There used to be some really delicious blueberries and skunky types of weed decades ago, but it's all gone, now. Thai weed was unmistakeable...but you'd have had to be there when it was around, back then, to know what to look for, now.

What's around, now, are strains that smell "gassy", "lemony", "fruity", "cheese", "dough", "peppery"....Some of it tastes okay. None of it resembles anything close to the landrace strains that were popular in the 60's and 70's.

Actual landraces vary wildly in smell and taste so in one population you may have one profile be more frequent Vs others but you will always have some more unique plants you would probably be better going on a plant by plant/strain by strain basis rather than just regional cos some places have more than one type they grow so there it might be a bit confusing also I would recommend you listen to a few podcasts that have Angus from real seed company on if you wanna learn more about genuine landraces he has been on quiet a few

I’ll definitely check that out, I usually listen to the potcast
I think he was on there
I could be wrong
Pretty envious of people that have space to run 100s of plants
It’s taken me two years to basically get to a place where I need to start over lol

Yeah I wish I had more space too bud I think most on here do minus some of the outdoor guys and no man I don't think he ever been on the potcast he been on curious about cannabis the cannaman podcast and a few others but I agree heavydaze should invite him on for sure though
