JACKASS, READ THE OPENING OF THIS POST...sorry, probably a bit much, but fucking hell, really? I know you can read or you wouldn't be here...You havn't been paying attention to shit have you, instead you just start typing shit

1) I"M NOT TRYING TO IMPROVE THE FLAVOR, I'M TRYING TO ALTER IT and no, growing properly by itself won't do it without a proper cure, you'll have gorgeous bud that taste like hay

2) I can get my full moon to taste as delicious as it can by itself, but if I want it to have for instance a slight strawberry flavor for variety in taste while keeping the high I'm so fond of, well than your suggestion is worth bat shit....

speaking of brick, thats funny as hell...and a proof of concept that it should be possible...

Deprave, yea, I know that trick, but thanks, thats at least a noble addition of info....unlike some asshole ignoring all the post and assuming what a thread is about...
Wheres the like button for this post? haha

eh...I'll install it on tuesday...

Widow.....:wall: I'm not even going to dignify that with a response, if you can't bother to read the intro to a thread, just don't even bother posting in it....seriously. I stated in the intro, and I think explained it twice more because people like you don't read before posting.I made an opening for this very reason, giving the why and what I wasn't looking for so we wouldn't waste each others time...but yet again, we have someone that could 't bother to find out what the point of this thread was, but still so eager to post in it...

if you don't have a useful contribution, than do us both a favor and just don't post.

I like weed fullstop ;D But i was also wondering if there was a was to alter the taste of your buds. I dont really care if i smoke sativa or indica or even both, cause their both awesome!

Anyone know how to change the taste, something sweet. eg. fruits, without getting a new strain?

U guys egos are through the roof, lets just toke back and chill out guys :joint:

I don't think there is anything you can do to really alter the taste. I've seen some Kool-aid test grows and what not, but nothing ever seems to change.

What kind of tastes are you missing in your sativas? Have you ever considered breeding the taste into them? I think that would be the best way to go.

How can u breed the taste into your plant?

Like interbreed 2 different strains or something?

Flavor is a genetic trait. You simply breed taste into your favorite strains. You might get lucky and make a great clone only plant in your first breeding, or you may have to breed multiple times to get it, but considering you can grow this plant for 10 or 20 years its a good investment.

I would have to lump myself in the "not possible" column.

Let me elaborate though. There are certainly things that will alter flavor. It's fairly common to flush a plant before harvest, this is usually attributed to a taste issue. However, from my experience smoking these do not add a particular flavor, my suspicion is that what you are actually tasting are minerals which aren't further broken down by the plant. Something like fruit juice would be broken down into water, sugars, acids, etc, none of which on their own would really add any flavor of the fruit. I am sure some of these compounds slightly alter the flavor, but I don't think they do it at all in the way the OP would be intending.

Flavored tobacco's are all flavored with oils after the plant has grown. There are certainly different variety of tobacco plants, and they all have unique tastes, but "flavorings" are certainly not something that is grown into the plant, they are all added afterward.

I'm going to, don't have any other options now, I'll just have to keep mixing the indica's with the flavors I want with the sativa's with the high I'm looking to keep...I'm just more than aware how much time its going to take and genetic selection before I get what I want, but yea, after I find the ones I'm looking for and stabilize them, I'll be keeping them forever...

there are many things you can do that can be detrimental to taste. too much P in flower. drying to fast. no cure.

as for adding taste. i have used a bunch of different sweets and humboldt honey. and to be honest i actually did notice a difference in taste. all were good except the sweet grape. shit is gross. i now use the sweet berry for a 2 week flush every grow. if i don't use that i use humboldt honey carbs. like i said, this is just from my experience with many many grows. other people's opinions may vary.

What tastes are you looking for? Just berry? There is supposed to be a really euphoric, sativa high pheno in DJ Shorts BB.

Cindy99 has a pineapple taste and finishes in 7 weeks. You can get chocolate or coffee from Asian and African sativas.

Tom Hill's original haze has some fruity phenos I believe, not to mention the purple haze and acid pheno. There are a lot of lemon flavored sativas out there too. I had a sativa Kalichakra that was the most lemon plant I've ever sampled.

You could also look for strawberry haze.

If you are at all interested in trying your hand at breeding I would pick a strong flavored indica or indica/sativa blend you really enjoyed for taste and then find a sativa that has the high you crave with genetics to be on the sweet side and start experimenting. Beauty of plant certainly is that you can breed it to meet your needs. Can we expect a Raven Raspberry Sativa maybe in the future? :)

Sometimes things advertisers say, aren't completely true.
See as an example, any healthfood store concoction.
To get your money, they may even tell you things
they know you want to hear.

I take the Flavored papers (blueberry) for example.

(the papers are 100's so I cut them in half)

I then drop the 2 halves into each mason jar while Curing. :>

Smelt them last night and they wreaked of Blueberry. :>

I get any flavor I want when curing---- I use a tea bag to hold any oil I would like to introduce into my smoke or vape. Sometimes I just use a tea bag to get rid of a dank smell or ?? check it out.
