Genetics are the best way, I've heard adding molasses makes it sweet. If you want to try to get flavors make sure the solution or whatever gets absorbed from the roots or else it wont work.
Never tried the drops myself though. I wouldn't worry about flavoring your weed if you're a beginner. There are so many other things to worry about. If you're growing any sort of decent strain it will most likely taste great on its own. But some people put orange peels in a jar with their buds if they overdried them. It makes them more moist and it will make your weed smell like oranges (not sure if it tastes like oranges when burning). You could probably do this with any kind of fruit peel, but there's a chance of getting mold on your buds. I wouldn't bother unless you overdried.
Like Vape said. Flavored papers or drops. Never tried it, but I'm excited to. Don't mess with the growing part though, add flavor via papers or drops once it's ready to smoke.
im a beginner and right now i got two plants flowering. I just bought some grape flavoring. its the type you add to your soil. What im planing to do is use it on my smallest plant, and then let my bigger plant grow without it so it can have the natural taste. the guy at the grow stroe suggested that if i was going to use any flavoring I should have got the raw flavor, because it brings out the plant natural flavor. next time im going to buy it and see what it do for my plants.
