Fix that plastic bin!

I'm using these big brown plastic 400 ltr bins for my hydroponic setup. Either because of bending stress from pulling them or the water being too cold, the bins end up cracking and leaking all over.

So far, tried silicon (too clumpy, leaves a surface where algae can accumulate), super glue (keeps leaking) and duct tape (keeps leaking). If anyone has any new suggestions, my mind is open, sensei.

I bought a recycled 60 gallon plastic barrel that was food grade... it still had strawberry syrup in it when I brought it home, just a good cleaning and it has done the job for 3 years now.... best part was it was only 20 dollars USD...

Im waiting for the day when I need an ibc size container. Those things are awesome and you can get them second hand for free most of the time. They have a metal cage around them for support, my buddy just cuts the top half off and stands his 2 4x8 flood tables ontop of the bottom so he don't even need a lid.
