fix leak in res

Got a50 gallon res, it somehow got a pinhole sized hole, don't feel like buying a new one, any suggestion I was thinking about melting with a lighter or that flex seal stuff but don't think it'll hold for long with 50 gallon behind it, appreciate any advice

Not sure what your res is made of but assuming it's plastic you could try a pool patch. Scuff up the inside of the res around the leak, use a good amount of adhesive and then an oversized patch. You could also try some 2 part epoxy putty which would most likely work as well, just make sure to patch from the inside of the res.

Thanks for the help guys, both ideas sound good I'll try the hot glue gun first as I'm lazy, oh it is plastic botainicare
