first Veg space... heat issues!

got mi a lil Veg space
just 5'x2'x3' w a 8 light T5 panel.
only able to run 4 lighs due to heat issues. with all 8 lamps on temps are hitting 85° at times. With the front open and the 3 small 4" still fans going the temps can go as low as 68° to 70°

ordered a Vantech 4" inline duct fan off Amazon which should be here any day..Claims to be 100cfm but after reading the reviews it sounds like it's probably 30-40 cfm..

What temp is ideal for keeping Veg plants short, stalky and happy?

What else do you do to keep your Veg plants happy in a small space?

I have a tent that's 4'x2'x5'....I have a 4 bulb t5 run all with 8 extra 42w cfls...temps never go above 80...81 max!!
My cfm is 240... so do you have a tent or closet, ya never said(just making sure, but I think a tent?)

lol its a small tent I framed
had an old 5x5 GroDen that ripped.
recycled into a 5x2x3
Your going to need to get a better stronger fan....way stronger ...nd if the temp the room is in is hot as balls (your tent will be even hotter)....you need to bring cold air into tent nd hot sale air out, even out the room....with t5s you can put your lights around 1-3 inches above plants at all times, test with the back of your hand, if it burns you it will burn your plant
My ideal temp is 77 for me..I know you cn do 70 ish then no more then 80

Different stress trainings you can do, try some Google man it works wonders , lst,topping,fimming...etc

Actually 70 is pretty ideal. But if you want to close door, vents etc as Wie said your definitely going to need a fan with higher cfm. Good luck.

i didn't want to get a 200+ cfm fan for a 30 cu ft tent. hopefully this 4" duct fan will do the trick, if not maybe I'll double up and run two of em'

definitely going to root trim and use a feed low in N to keep her short. ive read plants should stay stalkier in lower temps.

as far as training goes; I lollipop/top my plants for better air flow, seems to help keep the bugs away.

I'll post the updated temps when the fan comes in.. amazon says 19th to 26th

if there's anything else yall know on keepin em short letmeknow!

ah *clears throat..
"no plants where harmed in the making of this tent."

there's nothing in this particular tent just yet... trying to get everything in check before I put my girls in

In the space you mentioned a more powerful fan should not be needed ........is your EXHAUST defo doing its job.......this is the cause of heat probs all the time .......it's all about finding the sweetspot then at least the plant can breathe....intake.....outtake.......should be set-up in a manner to suit the environment and the plant and let it evolve the way it should......and she WILL b good to you if you follow those simple steps.......

just got my fan!
it's def not 100 cfm but it did do the trick
temp are steadily dropping.
already down to 74 and it looks like its still dropping slowly, I'll let it run all nite and see what's what in the morning

like I said it's not 100cfm but maybe 50?
so it replaces all the air in the room every 36 seconds. not a bad lil fan and a lot less watts then a vortex or squirrel cage or something like that. these things work great in small spaces. mite throw one in my flower room as an extra intake. oh its relatively quiet too.
