First Timer

Hey, this is my first grow. Definitely a budget grow but i'm doin alright so far. Getting by with what i have. I'm running a 1000W HPS right now and i've got some new equipment on layaway that i should have soon. Everything is going to change but this is the setup i've got running now. 8 plants going now but when i get a solid system and routine i'm upgrading to a full 15. Right now that is the last thing on my mind though. If you have any good advice that might help me better my setup and you feel like sharing it would be greatly appreciated. I'm absorbing all the info i can. Thanks much i hope you enjoy watching them grow as much as i do over the next few weeks.:peace:

Gotta start somewhere :) so what strains you got going? What kinda gear you got on layaway? what kinda feeding schedule / nutrients are you running? What are your temperatures like in there? I'm guessing pretty warm....1k watters are pretty damn hot with no air cooling or an AC to keep temps in check, probably gonna be one of your biggest problems.
Gonna sub to your journal....always nice seeing new grows :) G'luck bro

Hey thanks alot man! Appreciate the Good wishes. So as of right now i'm waiting on a 5x5x7 foot reflective grow tent, A new bigger enclosed lamp hood, 4" wind tunnel duct fan and carbon filter, I have recently transplanted and trimmed up the lower nodes. They are getting big now and i need to throw them into bloom because they have been vegging for approx. 7 weeks, and i'm afraid they will get too big. Your absolutely right, i have been having heat issues, and with having enough air flow i can control heat to an extent but i've found that keeping a constant humidity in the room has been a challenge, simply because the top of the tent is open to the rest of the garage so i'm basically humidifying the whole garage. I'm running a Fox farm nutrient cycle basically running a feeding schedule i found online for fox farm that has been working just fine for me so far, seeing alot of healthy new growth since the transplanting. Recently put into MUCH BIGGER POTS and they look soo much happier! I transplanted into Sunshine Soil-less 4 grow medium. (recommended from the local shop) I'm thinking about possibly scrogging once i get the tent. Thoughts? Strains right now include: Dynomite, Walts Purp, and F.I. a.k.a. (Incredible). I still might throw a jack frost into the mix but i also might save that for the next grow. Looking at continuing these strains if they work well but also thinking about trying L.a. Confidential and Orange Kush.

Here's some updated photos :peace:

I'm having serious problems because i am getting no fresh air into the space. It's all sealed off and getting sooo hott and soooo humid. I opened it up for a little bit and its about where it should be right now as far as temp. & Humid. but this will only work temporarily for it is going to be a royal pain. The only solution i can think of would be an A/C Unit or dehumidifier. The plants seem alright after the cages went on. Wasnt too bad. Only lost one small leaf. Didn't expect problems like this so quickly but at least i can throw them into flowering now. June 9th-flowering day 1.

Yeah, The temp is a little high when the light is on, and the humidity stays like 10-15% below where it should be. But i'm gettin my tent and everything tomorrow so hopefully that will solve my problems.
