First timer with ebb and flow system

Hey. So I'm new to forms and doing my first ebb and flow setup. I've grown in promix for years and now want to try a f/d system. Just looking for some helpful tips and guide lines to go by. Room is set up just waiting for seeds to pop. Room specs r as followed
Mylar tent 4x8x7
2-2x4 tables
2-1000 watt bat wing style shades with adjustable ballast
6inch 3 speed max fan hooked up to carbon filter
Air pump in res with air stone
160 litre reservoir
2-10inch stand fans for air movement

I've tested the system and it runs fine 10mins to fill 15mins to drain. Room temp is a bit high for my liking running around 29-31Celsius

room temp is gunna be high no doubt without aircooled hoods in a tent so small for those two lights. id air cool them myself. run carbon filter to hoods to exhaust out of tent with fan between the hoods and filter.

good luck :)

Thanks for the info myles177. And I'm using rockwool 4x4 cudes with clay balls. I'll put up some pics when it's all set up. I'm also going to get the cool tubes just not sure how to run the with fan and carb filter all in one line so I don't have to get another/bigger fan

adding the lights wont hurt the fans ability to do its job. just run it like this.

[scrubber]->[fan]->[cooltube]->[cooltube]-> duct out of tent

make sure turns in duct are as gradual as you can get them for best flow

Would you not want fan at the downstream side of everything to keep it in a negative? Although heat might impact fan but mine seems to handle it ok at 3 years old.

i do it this way because any leaks in the hoods or the duct connections will result in a little scrubbed air blowing through the cracks into room whereas the alternative would result in some stinky air from room being sucked in bypassing the scrubber.

both ways will work, i landed on doing it this way when my scrubbed air was coming out stinky and turned out my hoods were allowing a little stinky ass flower room air through :)

I got the cool tubes in and ran them separate from my scrubber. I have a 6inch duct fan pushing throw the lights to cause them to have positive pressure so that if there's leaks(which there isn't :) ) then I won't be pulling smelly art out of the tent. my room is now running at a steady 25.7Celsius for a three hour test run I did today so I'm ready for the kids to go in this weekend. SUPER STOKED

Ah never thought about unscrubbed air bypassing the system. Im in the HVAC business lol and missed that one! I have used insulated flex so never had issues but could see it happening.

Ya I didn't ether till my hydro store told me that. I also use insulated ducting that comes off my scrubber
