First timer with an interesting problem...

Well... problems abound... I had the MH light plugged in a warming up the tent, as I got an unexpected delivery from a friend to start up. The tent was warm, I was preparing soil/etc for the unrooted clones and then I decided I needed to unplug the light from the timer so I could keep it 24/7 and place my fan on the timer. I plugged it back in and the MH light makes a buzzing noise and will not fully ignite, just the "arc" in the center of the bulb????? BIG PROBLEM. Anyway, for short term I plugged in the HPS light and it is running. Should I be concerned about trying out the MH light again?

Also, the clones as noted are unrooted, and I didn't have time as it was a spur of the moment delivery... I got them in dirt, I have pretty high humidity and about 70-75 degrees maintaining pretty well right now. How good are my chances of having these bad boys survive, and... Should I give the ballast a break tomorrow sometime for a couple of hours and give the MH bulb a shot again???

HELP ME? :)

I was set up to start from seed, and do have peat plugs I believe, but things got rushed and they are in the dirt now...

Hid lights take a min to turn off and on...

Just smoke a bowl, plug it in again in 5 mins
and it will fire up.

it has to be a certain temp I think to turn on...

All filter companys say they should be used via sucking
not blowing...

Suck air thru filter than move air elsewhere. Period.

pushing air thru filter is haphazard and allows for more
odor to seep out.

Now thats day 1 stuff
They say you should suck air through them, but they also say you can push it through.

So what does everyone think about the odds of these clones surviving??? Will they root?

Like I said they showed up unexpectedly... They are in the dirt and have 24 hour HPS light at the moment. I'm going to try and swap in the MH light this evening, assuming it works. I initially had the plants buried a little deep and dug them out as much as possible without disturbing where I'd already placed them. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated... I think the temperature and humidity are under control for the time being.

Looking for reassurance at a minimum, haha, hoping I don't waste some time on these only to have to locate some seeds anyway.

Start a new thread in the noob forum.

You received Cuttings in soil, and want them to root under a HPS???..........Not bloody likely.

UPDATE! just tried the MH light again and it only "arcs"...??? It will not power up, so I am stuck in emergency mode with my 400W HPS right now. I'm going to contact HTGsupply as that is where I purchased the light and it has warranty. I'll see if they can overnight me another 400W MH. AHHHHH!

I myself am looking into getting a inline fan & exhaust setup going here soon. Temps where in the 40 range yesterday. Today is a whopping 70 degree's!! Going to keep getting hotter to. So I need to get something going. ;) Does anyone, or can anyone suggest a good reliable system at a reasonable price  Thanks

What type bulb are you trying to use in it  just asking cause I can recall 1 yr a few years ago I had tried using a different off the wall type bulb with my ballast and it just wouldn't light up.

Update... My temps and humidity are now keeping perfect with a 15 on / 15 off fan schedule and 18/6 light schedule... Staying between 74-78 during days and 40-50% humidity. 2 of the clones survived and I have 3 very healthy seedlings going as well.

The MH bulb is toast. You'll have to replace it
