This is my first grow, 400w hps in a 3X4X9 room and everything is going GREAT. everyday i wake up and cant believe how much they have grown. I have just transfered to a 5 gal bucket from a 1gal 4 days ago. Now I am starting to have troubles. Leaves growing out so wide they fall over, the very tips of one plant's leaves all are wilting under just slightly. And one has yellow tips (nutrient burn?) Let me know whay you guys think. Any advice would be lovely.

Wilting leaves can be from heat/thirst. I'll look into the yellow tips and see if i can find something interesting for ya.

What kind of nuits have you been using and are you following recommended dosages on label..Also why such large pots from 1 to a 5 gallon...The bigger the container the harder they are to manage on smaller plants as you could be watering to much or to little..I usually go from 1/2 gallon to a 2 or 3 gallon depending on strain. Only reason I would use a 5 gallon is for a large mother plant..Most plants ar good for flowering in 2gallon which is comfy for a 4' plant.bongsmilie But as in growing all grows are not created equal ..you must find the right feed and watering schedule balance for your type of grow.:eyesmoke:

Based on your pic's you've posted, I don't see any problems. They look great. But your verbal description implies overwatering to me -- let the top inch of your soil get dry before you water again (looks wet in the pic..). The yellow tips do sound like nute burn.... how old are those plants? Two-three weeks? Unless you recycled your soil from some other grow, it may not even need any added nutes yet.

I recently grew a couple of bubblelicious that looked a lot like your pics, and some of those first leaves really did come out big and heavy; it was just a character of the strain. It freaked me out at first and I almost changed up the soil on them at that point... I stood pat and they grew out beautiful. And yeah, you don't need 5-gallon pots... that's huge if you're just growing bud for use.. or whatever. But if you've already transplanted them, I'd just go with it..

Overall, I'd strongly advise looking at simple things first -- watering, heat (a 400 in that small of a room needs to be exhausted), and too many nutes (too few seems very unlikely at this stage). I'd be very suspicious of "exotic solutions" like micronutrient deficiencies and such at this stage, assuming you're using a decent soil.

Thats gotta be exactly it, and btw it is bubbelicious and they are 16 days old,new soil and i was still feeding them, the soil has 7 days worth of food in it already. And as for the 5 gallon buckets, thats what the guy at the store told me to put em in... lesson learned for next time. It is well vented though. Perfect, thanks guys!

Awesome.. my first strain recognition just from sight! Bubs is a beautiful plant, IMO, and pretty forgiving of mistakes.

Good luck on your grow.. !!
