First-timer grow cheap start

hehe it does me, my first grow didn't really live up to its potential so I really can't wait to start my 2nd one in a month or so. But seriously, I think growing weed is pretty rewarding. The fact that I can tell people what pH measures is pretty amazing. Man, I can't fucking wait. You're lucky haha

Are emergency blankets better then tin foil? I am planing on using them cause I have them here, but reading the box it sounds like it is just big tin foil?

They are better because they are made out of Mylar (the stuff you want) and they won't create hot spots like tin foil does. It's a good purchase. Plus if you get stranded in some shitty weather your grow cab will be prepared.

lol... but good to know its made of mylar. From the box it sounded like big tin foil.
 
heres a few pics of the mylar blankets, there $2.86 at walmart in the camping section. the wrinkles shouldnt be a problem with cfl's or hps, but they do work great to reflect light around i the box. hope this helps.

Aright guys got home and went straight to work but got it all done. i put my babies in there at 1am when i turned off the power. and i set the timer . have a total of 5 cfl's now above by 2 inches, when they grow i can just raise the cord and move the drawer . i installed one fan so far blowing air in right above light level. i have another fan that i'm going to install on the other side but i have yet to find another 12v adapter laying around the house.
 
I think that means you have a deficiency of some sort. I'd take some pics and start a thread in the plant problems section and ask some experienced growers for a remedy.
