First Timer Any Advice Please Help

I have no problem getting the plants started,check
I use to try gave up then now trying agian nothing else to do
I am using closet about 3 foot by 5 foot by 7 foot tall plenty of room
Growing in old 30 gallon fish tank with two 60 watt household bulbs
i keep light about 24 inches from plant
and i use airconditioner alot but closet door shut all the time with 24 hours of light
i had little boy and big boy
i tried fertilizer on top of soil with little boy one day and it died in about 30 minutes
big boy had fertilizer in bottom of pot from beginning it was doin great untill the top fell over on top of sucker leaves so im trying agian with 25 new plants starting at seed not sprouted yet what kinda special treatment do i need to buy and what else do i need to know becuase im a pothead dont learn to easy i want the easiest proven way to grow i am growing for myself only i just need bud for me tired of paying

First off, try putting all of you questions into one thread, that way you will be able to keep up with the info easier plus it won't clutter the site with multiple threads. Second, read everything you can find on growing, then read some more, after than...read it all again. Trust me, this is a requirement if you really wanna learn to grow.

Now back to your above post. As far as lighting is concerned, regular light bulbs will NOT work. They are fine for starting seedlings but that's about it. You need either CFLs or shop flos. They also need to be very close to the seedlings...only a couple of inches.

Have you decided what type of grow you are going to do, ie soil, soiless, hydro etc? When you have decided that then folks will be better able to answer your questions. At first, seedlings need nothing more than light and water...do not overwater though. That is one of the biggest mistakes a newbie makes. Do NOT feed them yet. It will just burn the lil things up.

Oh-oh. Sounds like Widow's gonna have to bash-up some grannies again. Fish Tanks are a big NO-NO! There's nowhere for the water to drain out so your little babies are suffocated to death. Your babies are o.k. under normal bulbs for about a week. After this you can use cfl's for another week. After this you bring in the big boys. Either 250, 400, 600, or 1,000w HID lamps. You can go for either the bluey part of the spectrum which is metal-halide or the reddy part which is HPS or high pressure sodium, or you can use both. It's fine to use cfl's all the way through on their own too, but they have to be about an inch away from the plants at all times, they emit soft blue light.

yeah i was waiting for someone to ask about the geezer thing. i have a couple friends from the uk and they use it sometimes. it makes me laugh whenever skunk calls someone a geezer though. and yes, im getting tired of me and widow tag team beating grannies and then getting gummers. the gummers never get old though

We don't usually say the whole word when talking to one another, it's usually "alright geeze'..." but really fast, no pause between the words. You Americans tend to take time over your words. Women in my city are known as birds.
