Everything you have here is exactly what you will need at a very good price. Do you have everything else you will need for the grow tent? Like an exhaust fan and ventilation fan? Timer? On the soil I would use fox farm potting soil. Using the wrong soil may create problems with your plants and if your a first time grower you may not know how to fix any problems that might come up. If you choose fox farm I would use ocean forrest or regular original fox farm potting soil. Also something I would recomend for a first time grower is the earth box. There around 50 bucks normaly and requires no electricity. Just feel the resevore at the botom with water when needed and the water will wick (soak upward) from the resevore and through the dirt to the roots. Keeps the soil moist, no money in electricity, dont need to be watered daily and you cant over water it. Plus there the most handsome little pots iver ever seen! I put 2 plants in each earth box.

no i dont have the fans or timer yet, and what would the timer be for exactly? if its for watering the plants i was thinking of watering the plants my self and ill make sure to get these after i buy the tent and germination system and thank you for the recommendation for the soil ill make sure to pick some of that up when i buy the seeds thank you for the reply.

and i looked up that earth box that looks great i guess i have to save up some more money thank you for telling me about that.

The timer is for your LIGHTS If your going 24 hrs during veg... you wont need it for a while. But it comes in kinda handy when you switch to 12/12. ;-) OR if your vegging 18/6, 20/4 or 22/2 etc.

Ah, the basics again (I do this every time I grow - I admit I'm not a pro or a super stoner but I've managed to keep myself high for the last few years!)

This is ONLY the basics!

1) Seedling stage - Water fresh water once a week for a fortnight, simple...once the soil gets dry and the pot gets lightweight water it! (I like to use 24 hours for the first week then cut the lights on period to 18 on 6 off)

2) Veg stage - Treat like you did in seedling stage, once your plant is 4 weeks old start feeding HALF the minimum dosage on the bottle of nutes...you will probably be watering more often by now (upping the amount of water til it leaks out of the bottom after about 3 weeks old) so after a couple feeds increase the amount of nutrients to the minimum on the bottle...if the plant starts to look ill then a single water without nutes and then back to the previous half-strength should be ok, increase the nutes a week or so later! (by this point your light should DEFINATELY be on 18/6 - but if not and its still on 24 hours on theres no major problem...the plant grows MUCH more in the darkness though, so if your entire veg period is 24 hour light I'd expect them to go wild in height once you make the switch)

3) Flowering stage - Start flowering once you reach half the max height you can afford, then change the nutrients to flowering nutes when you put them into flowering (I like to simply add Vitalink Buddy after 4 weeks flowering)...the plants will probably need watering and such MORE after the first week of 12/12, don't go crazy and drown them though...just keep doing what you did in veg and water when they get dry! The flowering stage will probably last about 8-14 weeks. During the final 2 weeks of flower you should flush them...not like I'm doing in my avatar pic - just give them 3-6 times as much water as you do when feeding a couple of times during the last fortnight!

Drying/curing - Cut the plants down at the base then simply trim all the leaves off the buds then hang the whole plant up (buds an all) somewhere dark to dry for 2 weeks...Once the buds feel dry and the stems snap you can stick them into mason jars and start the cure. Basically for the first 3 weeks after sticking them in jars you wanna open the jars for 20 mins 3-4 times a day and once a day move the bottom buds to the top in the jars...this way you SHOULDN'T get mold - the 20 mins 3 times a day lets any moisture drawn out from the centre of the bud evaporate, as opposed to sitting there in the jar with the buds causing problems...

Thats the basics...I know it sounds a lot, but that's 3-5 months work condensed as much as I can!
