U probably could have saved you sprout that didnt pop the cube after 5 days. I use peat pellets but I had a seed I dug in the dirt for @ 5 days, she was 1/2 rotten but recovered wonderfully. Just an FYI for future reference

Hey kimi. Well, I didn't actually throw it out yet. I put the unhatched seed about a 1/4 inch under the soil along side one of the other plants hoping it might sprout later. I'll let you know if it comes up. Thanks.

My WW seeds were from a UK site www.cannabisseeds.com and I got 12 fems for 29 bucks, & received them in about a week

I took 6 out for growing and stored the other 6 for insurance or a later grow. I'd like to try taking clones later to get a rotation going too.

recap after 22 days...

6/13/10
began germination of 6 WW seeds in paper towels, used drinking water, 2 of them failed to germ, allowed another 8-10 days and those 2 still didn't open so I gave up on them

6/16/10
seeds popped & showing small root, moved them to 2" rockwool cubes in seed starter kit dome, used drinking water to keep cubes moist

6/19/10
planted 4 sprouts in 10" pots w/ straight FFOF soil (2 seeds failed), used drinking water
put them under a 4-bulb T8 lamp on 24/0

6/30/10
first serrated leaf pair growing out and all 4 babies look a nice green and healthy
fluoros were 6" above plants, moved them closer to 2" above them
1 out of 4 plants is 1 inch taller than the rest of them so it's hard to keep the light really close w/o touching it

also noticed a few random insects, a small moth, 2-3 fungus gnats or fruit flies not sure which but I'd like to nip any bug problem I might have in the bud so I'm going to keep a close watch on it,
thinking about introducing some nematodes to the soil to fend off any potential larvae that might be in there

I'm trying to absorb all of the FAQ and Newbie info as I go

Is starting a grow journal what I am doing now with this thread, or is there a special forum tool to make a journal with?

Thanks everyone
