First Time Serious Grow-White Rhino/Jock Horro

So its been about a week since my last post i been extremely busy but here it is. the seedlings are now between all between 17-20 days old. the middle on is 31 day, and the oldest is about 2 1/2 weeks older then that. in the last 6 days the oldest plant has shot up about 6 inches and stands at just over 15 in. and is filling in very well. I might have to set up a seperate area to start flowering if the 1 inch a day keeps going. the first 4 pics are the seedlings and the rest are the two oldest ones. What do you think>? bongsmilie

i will post some more pics in a bit but i had a question. i want to start flowering my oldest plant since its about 20" tall whats the best way to end up at a 12/12 cycle should i do it all at once or slowly from 18/6 down?

ALright here we go agian these are the latest of the pics. Everything seems to be going very well. i topped a couple of the younger ones so it will be interesting to compare yields in the end. the oldest is 21in now and the only problem i have had with it lately is that it grows so much at night, if i dont raise the lights within the first hour they restart the leaves begin to burn/ only the ones actually touching the tubes. :wall:

luckly its not that bad. i now raise them right before lights go off. i do like how close i can get those flouros but its a very fine line.have to raise everyday. i decided to start slowely transition to 12/12 by cutting back on the timer an 1 1/2 hour per day for 4 days. i am hoping to switch over to a 600w or 1000w HPS within the next week or so.
What do you guys think?

So i am now in day 5 of 12/12 and the plants are starting to show their sex. so far 3 confirmed males 2 more in question. and 2 confirmed females 2 more might be female. keeping my fingers crossed. the first few are the males i pulled out today. next two are the Lady's- at least my oldest femed out. :bigjoint:

she's at 28 in. and is growing strong as still at over an 1 of growth per day. the bummer is out of the 3 white rhino only one seems to be a female :-(

. and half the jock horrors are male the other 2 are unknown still.

yeah man sexing plants can be a real pain. i was using white rhino seeds from nirvana and had 3 out of 3 females, then one turned hermie, and mostly male hermie within one night, it sucked. looking good though man!

Im now day 8 of 12/12 and the last of my nine plants showed sex today. So here's the results 3 of 3 white rhino were male, 2 out of 4 jock's were male and my 2 random kush seeds were female only giving me 4 out of 9 females. :cry:

But hey thats the way things are sometimes. well hopefully the 4 ladies will continue to grow strong. I did have a small problem about 2 days ago i noticed the bottom leaves of my oldest plant- now 36in.- were falling off. bascically molting perfectly good green leaves. i think this might be normal as im just entering flowering and i know my light doesnt penetrate that far down. so is the plant getting rid of what it doesnt need? i put a small cfl down low for light and havent lost any more leaves so any one with input would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Oh snaps its 420!!! :joint:

Well I finally had to do an overhaul on my grow room my light reached as high as it could so I had to move the plants forward a bit and rehung the light from the ceiling. I also added a 4 foot 3-tube t-12 light fixture. (next to my tallest girl. I know i need more light but cant afford it right now. I am now 13 days into 12/12 and my oldest is 2 months and 2 weeks old, and she's getting huge standing at 44 inches. thats 8in. in 5 days!!! :clap:

I just bought fox farm tiger bloom/big bloom and will start feeding with the next watering. well heres the pics of the girls and new setup, I also included a few pics of the males and what the roots looked like for those who are interested. I was really surprised to see that the roots were nearly 2 foot long in those little pots. :weed:

Alright here we go again I am now 20 days into 12/12 and my four ladies are doing pretty well. expect for the fact i forgot to raise the lights and had to go to work today so i burnt the crap out of the oldest. :wall:

. she should be ok shes a strong girl. the two remaining jock horrors are starting to really take off. heres some pics of the ladies, the shortest is really bushing out and the trichs and hairs and just starting to explode everywhere. what do you think?

trying to see how big she'll get in that pot. i dont really have a good answer didnt top these. topped others but they ended up male and i have the room to i guess. ill post pics later but the oldest is almost 5foot now and packing it on. :bigjoint:

OK its been a while since i posted, got in a car accident. :wall:

But the gurls are coming along quite well. i had to add a stake and tie up the plant on the left, she was getting to top heavy and leaning real bad. but now is standing tall. the others look to be ok with much thicker stems. Unfortunatly i got a slight bit of nute burn on the oldest first time i was kinda running high nutes on her to see limits well i guess i found it but its not to bad. straight water for a bit though then ill work her up. the small indica is looking so tasty cant wait to see how she comes out.

are u only using fluoro's? if so your lookin pretty good. a lot people would said your gonna need more light from the beginning , but it looks like your doing just finewitout the hps. nice work . rep for u. iwas gonna rep u but couldn't figure out how to do it. sorry

Yup im using only flouro's this grow was going to switch to hps but didnt have a doe to do it so i used t'5 lighting as primary and t 12's for side lighting i will be added a few more t12's to finish out ths grow.

hey cheetah2007 its been a while. for primary lighting i have 4 4', t-5's, 3 red 1 blue, at 216 watts 19440 lumen, and for secondary i have currently 3 4', t-12's, 2 red 1 blue, at 120 watts and about 6000 lumens plus a 45 watt cfl, 2000 lumen 2700K, for the under growth. i will be adding 4 more t-12's today i just have to got get the bulbs. So to some it up im using 381 watts for about 27000 lumen. and when i add the other tubes should go to 500 watts 33000 lumen. long answer but hope it helps.

here's just a few pics i shot yesterday. the small indica is going to need its satlite branches tide up the buds on the tips are starting to way down the thin stems. the large sativa i am getting worried about height wise. its over 6 1/2 feet and i can only raise the light so much more. the 2 jock's (on left) are filling in quite nicely their getting a little top heavy.
