So at how tall do you switch them over and why no lst? Aren't you trying to train for increased fuller more even canopy even before flower?
Nice on the 18 gal totes. As for how big I let them get before the flip... It all really depends on the roots in my book. I usually flip a couple weeks after the roots touch the water, because within 2 weeks, they will fill up the container quite a bit. I try to flip them before they are touching each other. Mine are about 12" tall and the roots hit the water about a week ago, I'll let them go another week and flip. I usually top them once or twice and just put up 2 nets for support more than anything. No need to lst or much top pruning to fill up the canopy at all. As for beneficials, I would go with hydroguard only unless you get into making teas. It seems to work well for those who do not use chillers.

You're absolutely correct about people not using chillers, having high water temps, and still not being affected with pathogens. I used to use h2o2 when I started with hydro, and still end up with my roots covered in sludge. It sucked, badly. I did more research (thanks to people like you reading this now), and I found hydroguard. Its mandatory for any hydro I run. Im not some corporate monkey promoting a product, the shit just works.

I fixed my flood table after I got a few cuts from a friend (green crack, sour grape and something he didn't know the name of his called stinky pinky) they wouldn't all fit in the one. Put up the net and I'm pretty sure the only one that is all the way thru it is a male, fml. Prob be able to tell 100% in a day or so. Oh well theres a cpl more waiting to take its place., just nowhere near as big. Next grow is gonna be so different.

Should I make a small dwc for the bigger plants in the flood table, I guess my question is at they going to get bigger quicker in a sec or should I leave them in the flood rable
