I'm fukin lovin it brotha!!!

So 4 weeks veg and you started lsting on the 17th day from germ? Now at 4 weeks into veg you have that bush? I'm very interested in how you did this now because the only thing I haven't played with yet is lst only training and I really like what you've done :) Plus I'm limited on my grow box for now because I'm moving very soon so I have to play it somewhat safe lol...

I'm attempting to germ a whitewidow seed right now and I want to do exactly what you did with this hopeful girl :)

Can you describe a little how you made it perfectly bush out like that and kept it from getting out of control? Did you tie the top down on the first day of lst? Thanks bro, looking forward to how she turns out! I'll let you know what I end up doing with this WW!

Thanks man, Well I started LST 17 days from time it sprouted so it was about 20 days from germ.

Every time I LST I make sure I water about 30min - 1hr before I start training. The first day of LST all I really did was tie my counter tie right above the first node so it didn't slip down. Then I tied right under the last true node so it didn't slip up, then slowly pulled it down as I didn't want the stem to snap. On this day I also just tied up some fan leave to get them away from the stem to get light to it. Basically from there all new tops coming up I would tie them up around the pot as they came in to train them to the sides. Once they got taller and bent upwards I cut all ties other then the counter and retied main stem from a higher node as to bring height down more. Then I'd tie the new tops from a higher node just to cut more height down.

About a 2 days ago I decided to cut the main fan leaves off the main stem from bottom to top to get more light to the stem. Once I did this new growth blew up from the new tops, I will most likely prune some more tomorrow to get even more light to the new growth under the canopy and to some of the newer tops that are underdeveloped..

I know that pruning fan leaves is frowned upon by most in the RIU community or at least from what I've read but since this is my first grow I wanted to experiment with pruning fan leaves to get more light to the new growth so far its given me more growth and new tops are forming. So it looks like its working well so I will prune 1 more time that way the plant can recover and grow some more before switching to flower.

Treez I hope you can understand this as I was rambling at times, sorry for that I'm a little baked atm :).. If you still have anymore questions let me know and I can post up some old pictures of right after LST just to give you an Idea of what I did..

I think I know what you mean but pics would definitely help:) I really want to do this right but I'm not 100% confident on how to approach it. I'm not in a hurry because I still have a while but I've also seen people lst them from an early age just bending them straight over basically.. What do you think of this method compared to the way you do it? Thanks again and answer whenever you want, I'm about to pass out soon anyway. I have a long week ahead of me!!

In this pictures you kind of see how I tied it down with counter and top tie
Day_17_veg_1_HELP.jpg
Here you see where I tied the new tops coming in to bring them out to the side of the pot.
Day_20_veg_1_help.jpg
This picture I pruned all the main fan leaves off the main stem, then cut all ties other then the counter and retied the main stem down and tied all the new tops and just went in a circle around the pot
Day_25_veg_1.JPG

I've seen LST done in an early stage but from what I've read most people start LST when there are at least 3 true nodes..

Hope these pictures give you some idea of how I did this, if I had a better camera I would have taken more pictures of the process..

Hey all, I got in today and pruned all the fan leaves that restricted light to the tops and new growth. It looks like a charlie brown christmas tree right now lol but I had it looking like that 3 days ago and it exploded. Should recover nicely misted the leaves just a tad with distilled water only just to get some extra water to the leaves to help shock. If all goes well the growth should explode again within the next few days and I'll just let it grow till flower.. Let me know what you all think..

And smelly these pictures with the fan leaves pruned off you should get an excellent idea of how I went about LSTing the tops to the sides..

Sure did help :) Damn you stripped her down! I'm interested to see how she comes back from this in another week!
Me to, I know alot of people frown on pruning fan leaves, but since its my first grow and experimenting I wanted to make sure all tops had sufficient light. I didn't cut as much a couple days ago and took 2 days to recover so I'm thinking 3-4 days tops to recover from the pruning, and I'm thinking at least 6 more days veg..

excellent prune job, looking great! +rep
Thanks homer, some of the new tops wasn't getting enough light so pruning needed to be done for the lower fan leaves. Hopefully it'll get the tops to explode with growth.. We'll see lol :weed:

hell yeah man... thats exactly why i lstd and pruned so much.. i see where you topped yours now... i alos topped the one directle opposite of her... more of what would have been on the bottom... i dunno... both of my toppings were accidental though... i was too rough during them bondage sessions... lol.. lil bitch... lol.... anyways... yup... thats about all i can say... ours is lookin real similar now adays... cept yours is younger... i wanna see howthis is gonna work in a circle... where as mine is more squared... know what i mean? also, if you veg a lil more than i did, i am sure you will harvest more than me... just keep up the good work... you will prolly have to do a pruning session a week... with all your tops coming through, your are gonna get crowded fast by all them fan leaves...

Exactly what I was thinking, although I will probably only veg for 6 more days and then it will go into flower and hopefully I can stop calling it an it lol..

impressive bro! I too have built a pc case but only use it for seedling/clones, but have been tinkering with the idea of doing a full cycle in there just to see what happens.

LST is the way to go. more production from the same plant. Not to hijack the thread but here is how my first LST went.. mind you I didnt train/prune as intensively as you.

keep it up. im interested to see the results!

hell yeah... the thing about these pc grows is you have to prune... better airation and less chance of mold... just remember though... the more you prune and veg, the more tops you will have and possibly the more cluttered it could get inside your box...

yeah that looks good bro, I just basicly LST'd how I've read and seen and just from what I understood from what I've read.. Seems to be working great, and pruning really read nothing but bad things but that was more for people that didn't lst, to me you almost have to prune to get the desired amount of tops and yield..

For sure micro I had like 7-8 tops about a week ago now I'm lookin at like 14 or so tops.. can't wait to start flowering and see if this is a girl or not :)

Here are a few pictures, let me know what you think!!
