First Time Organic for me.

This is my first time doing organic, I am going to list what I am using if anyone wants to give this a try. I am in 4 week from 12-12 flip and still on Water only. Leaves show no signs of lighting up so far. I'm also using Black Hen. The plant on the left is Acapulco Gold, and the one on the right is Blueberry. My mix is one bag of wholly Cow with one bag of Organic soil. Then I mix 2 cups of black Hen, 2 cups of Tomato-Tone, 1 Cup of Kelp, 1 cup of Crab meal, 1 cup of blood meal, 1 cup of Lime, 2 cups of Azomite Powder. Those rootriot plugs are really easy, just sock in water put seed in and wait about 3 to 4 days, and then plant into soil. I use 7 1/2gal buckets.

They look good from the top! Id say you're definitely good to finish with just water from here on out from the look of em.

Here is a better picture of the Acapulco gold, I just transplanted it out of the 3gal bucket that you see in the picture, into a 5gal one. The Blueberry looks the same.

Ever think about tomato cages? Had you thrown a tomato cage on each of those when you first transplanted into those big pots...topped them so all your tops were even...those sweet looking girls would be even bigger!

No I haven't thought about that thanks for reminder me. I do use them outside during the summer, didn't ever cross my mine about using them in the Tent. I have two in 4th and 3rd week veg, I will certainly use them. Thanks a Bunch.

No problem its what I do with mine they love it!

I just made me one about 35" across, it will fit well in my 9sq ft tent. It looks to be an easy way to do a scorg. lol

Healthy healthy leaves all around

Ok Mr. Rasta I have it set up on my Neville's Haze from Green House, suppose to be the Cat's meow of Sativas. I use a 25" screen instead of the larger 35" one. I hope I don't run out of head room. haha This is a 14 to 16 1/2 week Flower 90/10 Sativa Dominated.

I switch into flower once my plants have an even top canopy and our halfway up the cage (especially of they're stretchers like your sativa might be). Then they reach the top of the cage when they do their flower stretch.

Some tips on training with tomato cages!

Don't use them to keep your girls branches in...use them to branch her out. Weave your tall outer branches to the outside of the cage, leaving room for your lower middle branches to grow up through the middle areas they leave open. It also aids in light penetration to the lower levels of the plant. Giving you more even bud development and ripening.

When your out branches get heavy with bud use garden twist tie to tie them to the cages and hold them up.

On day 49 from 12-12 flip, still just water only, no change in color that I can tell. Acapulco gold left, and Blueberry right.

43 days into flower.

Really interested in these water only organic set-ups. I like organic cause I feel like im doing way less work than with hydro. To simplify that even further would be amazing! You definitely seem to have a good mix going for those plants!

The soil you mixed up, did you make that specific for the strains you are growing? Or was that a generalized recipe you came up with?
Do you know how roots organic soil compares to the one you used?
Really like the looks of your results thus far! Beautiful ladies!

This isnt my thread but I posted pics so I'll chime in a little. I just do a general mix for all my plants, if you got a diverse soil then your plant will take what it needs and you usually don't have to cater too much to each individual plant. However if I see one plant deficient in something then I can just top dress it with worm castings, kelp, and neem meal and everything clears up.

Roots organics soil is inconsistent in it's batches in my experience with it a couple years ago. The soil he got is an organic one you can find in any big box store for way cheaper and probably comparable quality.

If you're going organic though you can get peat moss, perlite, and compost and make your own soil though without buying the premade ones. If you're working with smaller amounts of soil though then an organic premade soil from Menards or Lowe's is where i would start.

You can check out my guide for help, I do mostly water but I do worm, kelp, and alfalfa teas occasionally, usually guano teas too but my soil has gotten nice and built up so I dont need to add it anymore it seems.

That all makes sense.

I've had experience in the past mixing my own soils, but it was always with the intention I'd be feeding them nutes, so this way seems easier.

If I'm understanding right, what y'all are basically doing, is what used to do for my outdoor vegtible gardens. We had a huge pile of manure composting, then we'd mix some other stuff in then top dress with chicken shit and pine needles. Always had big tomatoes and peppers!
