ok so i have decided that i am going to venture into cannabutter. a little about me i have made brownies with buds, i have made pills, hash, spaghetti, butane hash, and a few more
anyway let me get to the point i plan on making this in a few hours but i have a few questions first.
i have read many recipes and some say to use just butter and others say use butter and water.

but my first question is have any of you done it both ways....is one better than the other?
also i will be using stems and some shake for this. i have almost 3 ounces of stems and not too much but a little bit of shake.
now should i grind these stems all the way to a powder or do i just grind them for a few seconds in the coffee grinder? i have read to do it both ways so again i just dont know which will be better. i dont want my butter to just taste like stem and not get me high.
i am using a crock pot that only has a low and high setting i have read to stay low and slow and others say go high then switch to low. i was thinking low for about 4-5 hours stirring 1-2x per hour.
any suggestions are appreciated. i will update later i am just waiting on some answers and to go get the butter.
oh yeah also i was thinking about a pound of butter.....too much?????? not enough????? and i just buy any old real butter like in the sticks right?
