First Time Indoor Herbs and Veggies, Need Set Up Advice?

Hello:
I will try and give you a quick rundown of what I have and want to do. I have a growlabs grow tent gl80 (31" x 31" x 72") that I first used for growing maryjane, I have since upgraded to a larger tent and my wife would like to use the gl80 tent to try and grow some herbs and maybe some veggies. I was thinking about setting it up with a 24" 4 light T5 fixture as to keep the heat down and not need to worry about venting and such. I just have no idea what lighting is needed for herbs and veggies, I also dont really know what she could grow in a tent that size, any and all recommendations would really help me out.

Thanks: Stlmatt

1 - You always need ventilation plants always need fresh air coming into the grow space.
2 - All lights give off heat even the 3.5w LED lights that you can buy from wal-mart just its almost nothing.
3 - You need a light that is as close to 6400k as possible. A 4,100k will do but you won't get nice growth compared to a 6,000k light.
4 - You can deff grow mint in there, peppers just about any thing. If you can grow them like a mj plant that's even better. If you can grow them in hydro then they will grow alot faster.

OK, Thanks. I know I need some venting, just wanted to make it a bit less complicated as compaired to the heat of a 400w hps or MH that I used when I grew MJ in the tent. I have heard that the new T5 H.O units produce little heat as compaired to MH/HPS, I just didnt know if I could use a T5 to grow herbs and veggies from start to finish.

Thanks: Stlmatt

I guess the whole start to finish thing is the same as growing mj. The more light the better. As we know generally the more light = more heat to manage.. How much produce are you looking for? T5 doesnt sound good enough mate, being as they normally are suitable for seedlings and maybe very small mj crop. Really interested though, the vegetable knowledge quest continues....

When growing herbs you can use a single 2 foot 24w T5 light at 6,100k for a 3 foot long by 3 foot deep space. Once I get things together I'm gonna try out a 3.5w, 6,100k LED light bulb that I bought at wal-mart to see how well it can grow thing
