Hello everybody, first post! I'm currently experimenting my first indoor production. I have 5 Hawaii Maui Waui, 3 BlackJack (I have 4 but one of them is stunt and wont grow, should I get rid of it?) , 4 Blackberry and 5 NYPD. They are 10 days old now , I have them under 2 400 w hps (I don't plan on buying mh bulb, the ladies will end up outside in late may) 18/6 at 15'' of eight, the temperature in my grow room is 85 f. What do you think? Should I repot them? The stem are long and thin , is there any chance that they will collapse? I have a fan blowing on them all day long but still what do you think? Some of my leafs have little waves is it normal? Thanks a lot for your answers! (sorry for my poor english)

Let me just preface that I've been growing for about a year and have half a dozen crops under my belt so my information may not be perfect.

Stretch is usually due to the light source being too far away. Using a HPS you have heat to deal with though. From your pics thowever it doesn't appear to be too much stretch imo. Seedlings will generally stretch up a little till they get their serated leaves and then the stem will bulk up some.

As for leaf deformation such as wrinkles and odd bends, that is usually indicitive of a PH problem. My well water runs a little over what they generally like at 7.5 and I usually have to use some ph down even in soil. It really doesn't look that bad on your plants and I wouldn't worry until you start seeing nutrient problems such as chlorosis and necrosis.

And finally the stunted one. If you are limited in your state by the number of plants, assuming your a medical grower, I would toss it if it takes you over. I generally clone 2x as many as I need and toss the 'weaker rooting' ones. If you plan to clone off them you will want to clone the stronger plants. Going from seed, even though it could be female, not all females are the same. You want the stronger 'super' females as they are called. Especially for cloning. I see a lot of growers make this mistake. They buy a couple seeds plant them, find the female and when it's done the buds are half the size as the ones in the picture in a good grow setup. You really want to plant a dozen seeds of that strain, pick the best grwoing female out of the females and use that. Mother nature throws in that random factor when procreating trying to produce enough genetically different plants that one has a chance of success. It may have smaller buds but bigger leafs to take advantage of low light conditions or maybe one female has smaller buds to reduce molds in humid climates.

You could repot and bury some of the stem, 2x 400w on those babies is overkill ,the waving is probably heat stress ,id go buy some t5s or t8s 40 bucks for two bulbs with reflector for the t8's,85 degrees for 18hrs is hot imo for seedlings ,you want the light as close as possible to avoid the stretch ,theyre a descent size for ten days gonna blow right up soon ,id drop one light save your money,if your putting them outside theyll be massive anyways ,and bite the bullet get the 30 dollar mh bulb and throw it in the hps ballast youll thank yourself for it ,good luck frenchy

I think I'll definitely take one light off , I used to be able to control the temperature because I'm in a basement and weather was cold outside but it's becoming hotter. I'm thinking about changing my schedule, having the lights on during the night (the cool air intake would help dropping the temperature I hope).PH you think... you are probably right , I'll get a ph meter asap. I guess I'll repot because some are bending a little 2 much with the fan and since the third set of leaf is definitely out today I was thinking about fimming as soon as possible (what would you recommend?). The reason why I dont want to buy MH bulb is because they will be in a windy area , I don't want them to be too tall and I've read that hps helps keeping them bushier.
