I strayed away from DWC with mothers because when they got so large they drink ALLOT of the res quickly, I like hempy buckets 100% perlite water once a day and good.

I think most hydro mothers are higher maintenance that soil in one way or another. I water mine twice a week, feed them once every 2 weeks, and they don't grow so fast that I have to cut them back every week if I'm not taking clones(take that as a good or bad thing depending on your clone needs).

But a 5gal bucket will hold a MASSIVE plant if you have the light/space.

Thanks for you experience,
The main reason that I want to go Hydro for my mother is I want to be able to leave house for few day, between 2 and 7 days MAX ... 1 or 2 time a Years.....
I know soil require 2/3 watering per week.... that why I was thinking of hydro....
Is there a way to get a really low maintenace plant ?
If I use a bucket with a reservoir of 100 liters ? will that be enough ? for a week ?

Yes but it gets old/expensive maintaining that much nutrient solution IMO. Also, just trim back your plants before you have to leave them, they'll be stressed for a day or 2 and be smaller so less transpiration and uptake. DWC is pretty low maintenance as long as you dont have to top up all the time, with that comes frequent nutrient and ph adjustments. Just be careful of root rot, slimes, algae, etc.

For what its worth, its also easy enough to throw a drip irrigation line to any number of plants and put a pump on a timer to water however often. That's what I do. I also have plants in rdwc but I have an auto top-up res so no worries about leavin them. Thats not practical for a single site mother though.

My reason for the mother was i needed clones fast and DWC werked great. If done properly when you flower mom she can be a awesome yielder.

So kinda killed two birds with one stone,Alot of clones and good yield made the extra cleanings of res,and nutes worthwhile.IMO

Thanks you again for your answers.
If I understand what you says I should remove some leaf before leaving home ?
If I adjust PH and nutriment, the day before I leave, can I leave for 7 days ? ( if yes... how many liter /gallon should I take for my reservoir ?? )
What do you recommend for keeping up my mother, I really don't need a lot of clone,
I plan Using a t5 neon as light source... is that correct ?? because MH will make my motrher really to big... I think...
Normaly I only use clone, that I grow 3 week in soil, then 7 week of bloom ( in soil of course ), then flush and havest....
But Now I don t want buy clone, I prefere to have a mother plant...
