First time growing. Starting with mids for practice. Tips?

Okay, so today the roots poked through. Germination..complete. I took pics on my cell, but my phone got disconnected, I will have them up tomorrow. I planted them in my backyard I got about 6 seeds. I used soil from this huge pot we have flowers in. And watered them a little. They are growing pretty well hidden and near the water. (Florida)

I don't think i'll have any problems growing. I'm just practicing for when I grow some big name bud. I still don't know when to trim my plants? Is there anything special I should be doing for these plants? Like I said it's just mids.

Just don't overwater. There isn't enough light in the day to properly veg, so they shouldn't get very tall. They'll be flowering quicker than normal, though, so at least you won't have to wait as long. Don't bother trimming them at all, you'll only be depriving them of much needed energy. Have a look at the GrowFAQ and welcome to RIU. :leaf:

Thanks. Today it's pretty crappy out in Florida. It looks like it's going to rain, I was hoping for a nice sunny day like yesterday. Should I cover them with plastic wrap for the day? Rain would cause them to be over watered and then they would die on day 2. I hope I can keep them alive for longer than 2 days. I know I can be a better father than that.

Also I was reading things about using molasses and extracts to enhance the flavor or smoke, any truth behind that? I haven't smoked mids in a long time, it will take a lot to get me high and lord knows the taste doesn't come close to the big name buds.

They haven't sprouted(have they?), so no need to cover. Molasses does enhance flavor a bit, makes them a little sweeter.
