I am making a new journal because the old title no longer applies since I got this new light system. I am still only 3 weeks in and would love to hear advice. I'm having trouble with temperatures, it's getting up to 90 sometimes even 95. The closet door is open but I don't have any ducting or an inline fan for the cool tube I have just 1 big and 1 small osculating fan. I think I may be able to keep the temperature down to 90 if I leave the windows wide open but I don't want to it to be cold in the room. And here is what she looks like as of now... Thanks for your guys help :)

hey I'll come watch. I use 400s in my closet. as for temps.. why didnt you buy ducting with the cooltube?

I'm assuming its six inch, so the cheapest way I could see to even start using it efficiently would be to buy flex ducting ($13-25) and a cheap little six inch booster fan ($20-35). now those fans are not ideal by any means but it would at least keep the hot air from pouring out the sides of the cooltube.

ive got 2x3x7 foot structure and have my fans hitting toward the light to blow the hot air up towards the top fan exhaust, the fans also provide air movement for my 2 dwc bubblers...theres an ac unit fan stacked next to the structure waiting to be molded into the side wall of the structure so I can keep things cooler during flowering. in the meantime it is feeding fresh filitered air into the bottom of the grow space so that all the hot air gets exhausted at about the same speed....if it gets up to 90 then I just add a little more height from the plants and that tends to cool things down for them to about 83-85 or if its really hot then I switch to my 250watt MH ultra blue 7200K hid. I'm running a 400 watt 10000K ultra blue MH light right now and the temp is about 80-85.

So I've been reading around and some people are saying that the thermometer should not be in direct light, anyone know anything about that? Also, as you can see I don't really have proper ventilation; will these plants get enough fresh air from 2 windows opened up in the room with the closet with fans blowing into the closet? The windows are about 2 meter's away and the closet entrance is like a regular doorway.

I transplanted the biggest plant but I think I wrecked some of the root system, I think the main root is still intact. The plant looks like it may be drooping a bit more today but the new top leaves still look mildly healthy. The bottom two sets of serrated leaves are curled/dry still too.

if I were you I would have those fams in the windows blowing out if they are decently sized.

also that plant looks like its having trouble breathing to me. just my opinion but.maybe too hot or some moisture stress.

For vege what I do is do 6 hrs of darkness from noon to 6pm in response to the heat wave and then put the lights on at night all night long when it's a little cooler. Exhausting the air faster.than bringin in the air is the best.thing u can do for ur closet. Make the exhaust area.smaller.than the intake area.

Yes, looks small but that's ok because you are learning.

You don't need all that light at this time. a few CFL bulbs placed close to the plant would be much better and cost much less for electricity.

That little air purifier you have actually would work well to pull heat from the closet and vent it towards the window with fans pointing out. I use one of those in my veg cab.

There's really no way around getting a vortex fan and carbon scrubber though. Lights are hot and you really need to displace that heat. Plus keeping your closet door open allowing obnoxious yellow light to escape kind of sucks. A good thing to do is cut a hole in the dry wall to vent out to either a window, adjacent room or an attic. You can even vent to a bathroom and keep the bath fan on.

Hello everyone its been a while since i've posted anything here so here is what things are looking like these days. I purchased and exhaust fan and ducting and things have been going okay, Also if anyone wondering the strain of these are Mazar I Sharif, it is a full afghan indica. Again just wondering if anyone sees any issues as this is my first time growing cannabis, a lot of the leaves seem a little clawed downwards and some are dry to the touch, I haven't been able to water too often because the drainage is not very good, my most recent plants have been planted in a perlite soil mix to try and help but a lot of the perlite seems to float to the top and the drainage doesn't seem too changed. Also some of my newer plants seem to be growing a lot faster, healthier/bushier looking with a lot less stretching and yellowing I think this may be because the older plants started in a window. Thanks again for the help and here are the pics...
