First time grower

Hi everyone and I'm glad to be part of this site. About an hour ago I just wrapped up alot of seeds in my paper towel and placed them in a jar to begin my germination. I'm very excited to start growing. I would appreciate it anyone could contribute advice to help me start growing. Anything would be great because I was thinking of getting them to sprout in my basement from now until they start to sprout or I can put them behind my shed in my backyard. I would really like it if anyone could contribute any advice at all to help me make this grow a great grow. I am ready to get growing and I am a good learner so please dont be afraid to post any advice that you guys have. Thanks.:joint:

yea here is some advice, dont over water, dont feed nutrients until its big, and just let mother nature grow it!

I started mine indoors until they're a good 2 inches and put them in the woods. If you are growing in your backyard then already have a decent spot and just need to provide proper soil, nutrients, and water. If your growing on someone else's prop...go spot searching, google earth it and good luck!

Having good soil is key on a successful grow and of course look out for a spot that receive plenty of sunshine.

soil preperation is important ,you dont need to spend a lot of money ,just the soil in the garden dig in some manure and organic matter.(i always give a good soaking with molasses and water after i do this gets the microbes working on producing the food for your plants)

but all of that is no good if your plants don't get enough direct sunlight, the more the better

then after you plant them there water only for the first month then start with some fish emulsion and seaweed extract(as per directions on the bottle)

when the flowering starts stop using the fish emulsion and start using molasses(2 tablespoons per gallon) and seaweed extract(as per directions)

and everything should be ok,good luck

im just startin to bro my first plant just sprouted ill post a picture right now i used da same germination method except i used a cup =)

there u go process took umm... bout 7 days from germination to sprout used da wet napkin method in a glass left it in da closet for 3 days nd dey sprouted i planted dem thursday the 29 and i left it watered friday since i was goin on a trip till monday came and checked on it then. these were the results tell me what u guys think

thanks for all the advice guys. but im thinking of changing my spot because I just went outside to fix the spot up behind the shed but it doesnt get enough light so im thinking of planting somewhere in the woods near my house. I think this new spot should be good because there is a big ass pond there. Also, after my seeds are done germinating I'm going to plant them into 1inch rock wools...What should my next steps be after that?

the only thing about this grow im worried about is how do i know if the plants are male or female ? i want the biggest yield i can get but i dont want males to f*** with my crop

O4aUsErNaMe??? Molasses??? Really?? I've never heard that one before. I see the logic behind it and will definetly give it a whirl. I've set 4 aside for r&d this year. The past few years I haven't, u know....if it ain't broke n' all.... but molasses??? that's freakin'fantastic. cheers!

oh man..lol .dont have to shout i am just here..:-)
molasses is talked about all over these forums as a nute for flowering plants..
give it a go for bigger sweeter stickier buds..:joint::mrgreen:

where can i get some molasses at for my plants and when do i need to start giving them it for nutes?

you can get it from a pet food shop any that sell hay for horses should have it,you use it when they start to flower(about 2 table spoons per gallon).

Can you use organic molasses from the grocery store or does the pet store variety have some other stuff in it?

i suppose you could ,never seen molasses in a grocery store.
molasses is good for adding trace elements,and carbs to the plants,

Okay, in the past few days I have accomplished the following. 3 seeds germinated and are in my little spot. one has already sprouted to the tallness of 2 inches and has a small little flower looking part at the top. and another is up out of the soil about a half an inch and the other hasn't sprouted yet. I bought a flourescent light fixture to hang over the plants and I have some KB and Sour D seeds germinating now as well. So far everything is going good. However, I went to home depot the other day and couldnt find any fox farm nutes.... anyone know where I can go for it? i live in jersey btw

I don't know aboutt fox farm nutes, but if you're growin in the northern half of nj, from my experience, your biggest challenge will be deer. I had one about 8 feet tall. they must've been on each others shoulders because not a crumb of nug was left, even at the top. out of 40, only 5 survived, and that was between 3 different plots.

i live in south jersey a few streets away from camden
