If I've never grown b4, am I gonna be in over my head attempting to be successful w/ an aeroponic system?!?! I'll be taking like OCD, meticulous care of it and I have defintely been doing my homework...i'm just curous what you think...is it doable?!

p.s. i'm using an aquamist system, i've seen a video that claims its one of the simplest

Definitely doable but not recommended. Soil is more forgiving of mistakes and I think you get a better feel for how the plant behaves. But its not like aeroponics is impossibly difficult so you should be fine.

I think it's doable but like sailing into a headwind for a first grow because the primary goal of a first grow is your own learning. That is best done with the simplest system not the most complex, so that there are fewer system issues for you to be OCD about. Systems don't grow weed, growers grow weed.

Not recommended; Illegal Smile said it best.

You don't need to start in dirt, but you also shouldn't start in the least forgiving system out there (aero).

When I got serious, I started in aero and its been really cool ever since..I do agree it is not very forgiving, and also, its alot of work with flushes and res changes, depending on your system and setup, and area, these simple tasks become more complicated as you plants growth and weight rage out of control... I did it, and it was awesome... With the exception of my exwife, its the hardest thing I ever loved..lol...

But seriously, once you figure it out or atleast start to, it gets really cool super fast... Its kinda like when I bought my very first guitar, I wanted a brand new american strat..People said you dont need an american stratocaster to learn on.. I did it my way, and guess what? Today that old strat rocks, and I never looked back..It's just like anything else, the more you do it, the better you should become with it...

Just my $.02

Your going to see just as many bad soil grows as you are aero, if you do the research and know what your doing than it wont be a problem.
