First time grower need help with some white spots on the leaves.

Hello everyone, first post just signed up. Figured this would be a good place to ask. I've been growing this Critical Purple Auto-Flowering Feminized. So far its been growing great except i noticed these weird white patches on the leaves. Hopefully someone could help me with it. Despite the research i have been doing i keep seeing is moldy patches and the remedy for it but this isn't moldy its in the leaves them self's. Thanks in advanced.

Looks suspiciously like mite damage but could be it was a bit too moist lower to the dirt and caught a bit of a fungus. The newer leaves look great so I'd just check carefully for bugs and see how it goes. If newer leaves don't start showing the same thing then don't worry. They won't matter for long anyways.

I would suggest 1/4tsp of non perfumed dishsoap to a quart of water and give it a good spritz under and over the leaves to be sure. LOL.

What's the latest bad news about neem?

I just use Safer's End All concentrate and add 10ml/L canola oil when I mix up a batch. Works as good as anything as long as you are consistent in using it every 3 or 4 days for 4 or 5 treatments. And do a good job when spraying but that's standard for any bug sprays. I never spray unless I find actual bugs.

Findings that it actually affects genetics on small scale. Yet more harmful on your digestive biology. It has been a while since I was reading on it. But not comfortable as a seriously green grower. So why? Dish soap, sesame or veg oil and water does my whole assortment well. Food Grade diatomaceous earth works wonders when understood.

Hey there, thanks for all the information. Today i noticed little flying insects and some white larvae looking things on the leaf so i sprayed a mixture of 1/4 teaspoon dish soap in 32oz(1qt) water. It killed all the ones i could see at least. How long should i be spraying this mixture and should i spray on t he leaves as well?

When you are spraying for bugs you need to spray every little bit of the plants as bugs can hide everywhere. With mites and thrips you have to spray every 3 or 4 days for a few applications as the soap won't kill any eggs but kills the new bugs easily.

Sounds like white flies. I've never had to deal with those so not sure of the best tactics to get rid of them. Look those up and see if they match what you have. Most people notice them when they disturb the plants and a cloud of them come flying off. Hopefully yours aren't that bad yet.

I just looked it up and good old Safer's Soap sprays are good to get rid of them too. I use it for mites and thrips but add 10ml/L canola oil to the mix I make from the concentrate. If you can find a concentrated insecticidal soap spray it's by far the cheapest way to go. I get a 500ml bottle that makes 10L for the price of 1L of the pre-mixed stuff. Need to get your own sprayer tho or buy one of each and re-use the sprayer but any sprayer will do.

Looking good. How come you didn't fill the pot right up? Autos like lots of leg room to do their best. Starting in a 5gal pail seems to work well.

I had one of those meters but it was really only good to check light intensity. Didn't even work well for moisture and forget about pH. Got a pH pen for that but never use it. pH Perfect nutes so don't have to check it.

Got a nice little app for my phone to check lumens and PPFD. I need specs for my phone's light sensor to calibrate it to the app but damned if I can find out what they are. LG Stylo 3 Plus. Running android 7.0 so fairly old but that info has to be somewhere. For free it's pretty good.

I was preplanning future feeding of castings and other organic nutrients to top feed it so I left some room. As far as the meter I got it and quickly realized it sucks for ph metering. It reads really low.

I have a ph pen and also use the ph up/dwn with the ph strips and liquid. I just bought everything oh related to check which was more accurate. Everything but the meter in the soil was pretty spot on.

If the sprays don't work you can buy predators that eat all the bugs then die after 2 weeks forgot the name of them sorry but you can get on amazon apparently they work really well
