Hello, I am both new to growing and new to this site found it awhile ago during my time researching but there is so much conflicting information, oversized grow setups, or jerry-rigged setups that i can not for the life of me decide upon parts for my own setup. I am building it on amazon because i have an excess of funds on there. I have decided upon the (Secret Jardin Darkroom II Pro DR60 24"x24"x64"). Mainly because of size requirements.

Now onto the real reason for this post. I am starting up growing in soil because its easier for those of us who are inexperienced. What I am looking to find answers for, as well as potential suggestions would be.

1.) Lighting, what type of light setup would be suggested, mind you that i am not starting with a clone i am starting from the germination phase without any special nutrients. The old paper towel germination process is where i am going to start from and then transplant.

2.) Number of plants for size of this tent. I am not sure how many i should have in i was thinking i can most likely put 4 plants with little size or air flow restraint still making room for the lightning, air flow, and any temp/humidity items i will need.

3.) What in all should i get for the best growing experience. As stated in the above comment, i am still new to the setup i have a rough idea of what i need but i would like specifics, for things like air flow, temp/humidity, what type of sensors do i need, what type of ducting would be suggested. Ambient heat leaking to the outside of the tent would like to be reduced as much as possible, so im guessing i would need insulated ducting but of what diameter. Good timer for lighting and anything else i may need to put in.

4.) Nutrients. Anything i should get nutrient wise to help speed up, or increase the amount of budding. I am not using a seed bank so what i have is what i got, best way to make enough after awhile for personal use.

5.) Ventilation. The best way to bring air in and out of the tent for all the plants air flow necessities, as well as the best way to reduce the smell, i live in an apartment complex and i can NOT let the smell linger.

6.) Soil. I have seen quite a few thousand soil types with varying commentary on them. I am not sure which would be best although i know the ph of the soil needs to be within the 6.5-7.5 range. I heard black gold soil brand works well and it seems i can get it online, although since it is an 'organic' soil it has a decent chance to come with bug eggs.

7.) Tools. Need multiple overall, things for testing my tap water, best way to filterclean water, is there a good auto water system for watering couple of days or so since my plant will be small and might not need watering for quite some time (or so I have read). Good tester for ph and any other parameters i need to test and watch.

8.) Anything i might have missed. As i am new and of course writing this rather quickly. I would also like an specific links you can give to the item on amazon, that way i can know for sure the suggestions you guys have made can be followed through as close as possible.

There's a lot of things you need dude. I mean, so many I can't even begin to list them all. Only thing I see you got is a tent. Do you got anything In mine that you want to do as far as lights etc...

Things you need
Thermometer and hydrometer with a probe
Minimum 60x jewelry loupe or microscope for trichomes checking
Nutrients fox farms or botanicare is what I use
As far as light goes, I would suggest a minimum 400hps if you want decent yield if they are small.
With a 400ps, I say a cooltube and a 6 inch inline fan and filter
Ph meter
Caliber 3 hydros
Cure jars

I'm sure I forgot things ask write this, I forgot soil and pots

The ability to not tell anyone.
Patience
A Watering can
I like to keep a block of two of Ona around
Timer with three holes for a ground, not a cheap two hole one.
An airconditioner(?)
Still don't tell anyone
Spring loaded sciccors
non powdered latex gloves
fabric pots or make sure your pots drain well
To know the laws in your state
