First time grower - Looking at HLG LEDs

4.9 out of 5 from 55 customers. Some of them also provide growing photos under our lights. Anyone can click the link and see yourself.
Facebook reviews are easily paid for. I read every single review on your page, 7 of them have light photos. 16 of the reviews are the same key words rephrased in a different manner. Do you have any links to grow journals regarding your systems? Just trying to keep things honest for our members. You still haven't answered any questions regarding your products. Seems like a scam to make extra off product that is more or less the same as everything else on the market from uninformed newbies.

I picked up a pair of HLG 550s V1 on craigslist for cheap not long ago with a bunch of other equipment, these are way overkill for my 5x5 tent but they run more efficient when run at lower wattage. If you are just starting out maybe the used option could bring you significantly more bang for the buck. The ebay route provides you with a 30 day warranty whether the seller likes it or not and if the seller didn't disclose something back it can go on his dime. A little elbow grease later and you have a sanitized new to you light!

I would encourage HLG products, I am a noob when it comes to growing but I did my research and got great results my very first grow. One recommendation is get look into getting two different color temperatures if possible (ie 3k Kelvins & 4K Kelvins). Check with more knowledgeable growers than me about what will work and does work best.

One more thing, if you are going to go the DIY route, only buy a very high quality power supply. A current model Mean Well driver will provide <90% efficiency.

You lack logic my friend. Must be ESL because you aren't understanding anything I've said
Don't know too much about these guys but if they are using lm561c, I would imagine it's pretty efficient and effective. They look like some of the Fluence Alibaba clones I've seen. In fact, I think they are the same. I'd look into those for more info.

I just noticed SunPlix didn't stand behind his post and deleted it, nuff said.

It seems like the censuses is HLG quantom boards. A lot of people are running them for a reason, one thing to think about is the difference between V1 & V2 is a 25% price difference and marginal difference in performance.

Maybe two of these (CLEARANCE PRICE $66 QB288 V1 with heatsink V2) https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/collections/quantum-boards/products/qb288-v1-slate-2-single-combo?variant=12288080838748 and a meanwell powersupply (maybe 320 watts HLG-320H, overkill!!!) for about $250 all in with everything (wire, plug, etc.).

Just saying. maybe even get a "B" meanwell driver for a sunset/sunrise effect (just because you can and it looks pimp). This would take extra hardware and some electrical knowledge.

It is a possibility, over a period of time, that any posts made by a non paying advertiser, that violated user agreements, have been removed by the staff....

The administrators should get rid of a few of those guys that do nothing but spam chats with thier Chinese shit. If they helped people out now and then it wouldn't be a big deal but they have nothing to offer but spam, a few that come on here don't pay to advertise but they are here to give advice also not just sell crap and that's fine by me.
