Thanks. I looked again and im pretty sure the whole thing is fucked lol. I checked some of the top colas, cuz they looked iffy, and when I cracked them open I can see some black mold. I started cutting some today, but I had things to do so the rest waits for tomorrow.

Damn that's heart breaking. Hope you still have a nice haul once you trim away the bad stuff

I hope so too. I think I'll be able 5o salvage some of it. But now it's on to the next thing.

Buying a HLG scorpion sometime next week to start my indoor grow. So that's exciting too.

I‘m sorry to hear about the rot. I empathize. You grew a really nice plant first time outside, cool beans. I’ll bet you salvage more than you think. Little bastards love the big colas. Have fun with your new light!

Well she got the chop yesterday. Damn that thing took a while. Had a buddy help and it still took us almost 4 hours. We checked every bud and probably got rid of 30 - 40% of the plant to mold. I think it was actually caterpillars, because every spot I opened and checked with black shit, had a caterpillar inside.

Anyways, my 5x5 is totally filled out and I got three 1 gallon ziploc bags filled with larf and in the freezer. Now we wait.

Also, my dog got a couple of branches from the plant, she ate them right up. Her name is jellybean by the way lol

I was examining mine and decided to chop the top half of two plants due to bud rot. Found more of it than I had been seeing. Very disappointing. Fortunately they were almost done. The remaining half plants still have some time and the other 2 full plants still have time. Hopefully it stays dry.

Good luck!!!

She was just about ready. Another few days would have been mint but the more I cut her down, the more I realized she wouldn't have made it. I'm hoping what I kept is still good. Some spits were tough to find. I threw away just about every one of the top cola buds.

On a brighter note labs(JellyBean) will eat anything! My golden is a chew anything machine too.

Weather is forecast is favorable!

jellybean1117, control your dog! My golden helped me harvest too. Too cute.

I too am a first timer, growing in LI. Today I had my final big harvest. 4 wedding gelato, 1 critical. I chopped and left behind bunch of popcorns but I don't have time to deal with them. I also had more bud rot than expected and in the majority of those sites I spotted caterpillar droppings. In the future, I think preventive BT sprays during early flowering is the best bet. My plants were in 7gal pots so I was able to move them under cover to protect from rains during the final 3-4wks. PIA but I managed.

Well, it's been done for a couple weeks now. Upon final trim, we found some more bud rot with caterpillars through the flower. Every top cola bud had but rot on it so the amount of actual bud I got is a lot less than expected. I'm guessing 5 to 6 ounces. Now, what I do have is a lot of larf, 6 full 1 gallons ziploc bags for hash. So that's exciting. So I have some hash bags coming this week for all that. Still happy with what I did outside for the first time. Thanks for all the help guys.

I will be starting an indoor grow journal over in that proper sunflower, come check it out, hopefully get it posted sometime this week.

I'm a 1st time grower on LI too. My plant is still chugging along. I haven't found amber trichomes yet, only cloudy. I've been taking branches every few days (sometimes because of bud rot!) and the quality of the smoke is definitely getting better.

The forecast is for rain so I'll take a few branches tomorrow. My thinking is Nov 1 will be peak but wtf do I know!
