First time grower, how are they doing? (Week 6 of flowering)

Hi all,

Myself and my partner are first-time growers, and we’ve got two plants (Super Skunk and Dr Seedsman) growing in a small cupboard under an LED grow lamp. They’ve just entered their 6th week of flowering as of today.

I was wondering if anyone had any feedback or comments on how they’re looking?

A few specific questions:
- Roughly how many weeks do you think they’ll take to be ready for harvest?
- Would it be OK to harvest a bud or two a bit early? (Not now but we’re thinking of taking some in about 3 weeks and then leaving the rest to develop).
- Can anyone identify which plant is which? We forgot to keep track so have no idea!

Try uploading some pics with the lights off, it’s hard to see what’s truly going on with the blurple.

Yes you can try some early, but I’d wait like you said AT LEAST 3-4 weeks at least before you do. Maybe longer.

What worked for me was sticking a nug on top of my xbox (where the fan is) for like 8hrs/overnight. Gave me a great test smoke!

You got quite a bit to go though!! Looks to me like you’re only a couple weeks into true flower. Are you counting days from the flip to 12/12 or from when you saw pistols start appearing?

It’s week 6 of the 12/12 cycle, but it‘s only been about 3–4 weeks since the pistols started developing. Should we be counting the flowering weeks from then?

I count from pistols (now). That’s when flowering has really begun.
After flip the first 1-2wks the hormones are changing to flowering ones. You’re right on track for 3-4wks of flowering!

If you count from flip it’s just gonna be longer than 9-11wks, it’s up to you!
