First time grower could use some tips! Pics included!

<B>
hey everyone this is my first grow post on the site so i hope it goes ok. i tryed germinating a bunch of seeds i just took out of a bag my buddy had, so i have no idea what strain they are. I germinated and planted the seeds about a week and a half ago and i ended up with 2 that looked ok and kept them, water ph is 6-7everytime i water once every 2-3 days when the dirt gets dry. i've been keeping the temp around 75-85 in the grow area with around 25% Humidity,lined the whole area with the dull side of aluminum foil to keep light in and out. As far as lighting goes i have a 40wat daylight cfl 4000k a few inches above the plants which puts out about 2k lumens,2more 26wat 2700k cfl bulbs 1600 lumens each and 2 more 20" flourescent aquarium lights that are prolly around 6000k, no idea how many watts tho.also have a 6 inch osilating fan bowing air into the grow area, but not directly on the plants. the most important questions i have tho are whether it is ok to use 1.4-0.2-0.2 fermented organic salmon plant food for nutes for veg? and when should i start adding nutes? i'm afraid if i start to early the nutes will burn the plants. also judging buy the pics.. when would be the best time to transplant to a larger pot? i also used miracle gro cactus soil because i figured the drainage would be better for the seedlings. also one is growing alot faster than the other and they were both planted the same day,about a week and a half ago, is this ok?

You can probably cut back on the lights a bit until they get some growth, other that that - good luck with the grow and welcome to RIU.

thanks for quick the feedback, much appreciated! i checked on the two plants this morning and the first true leaves seem to be yellowing at the tips and in the middle. i have a feeling this is not a good thing lol. i will upload some updated pics asap.

DSC07386.jpgDSC07387.jpgheres the pics taken about 2days after my first post, the first two leaves on the bottom seem to be getting yellowish/orange dry blotches on them.i have only been feeding the plant water so far with a ph between 6-7. what could be causing this? is it time to transplant and start using nutes?

I think thats from water pooling on your leaves. My plants did this too recently because since the temp dropped the water didnt evaporate immediately like has always been the case for me before with the warm dry air. Your leaves look exectly like mine and thats what I figure happened to mine and since i stopped spraying them I have no problems anymore.

I am not too familiar with your soil and may not be very good for MJ. Check the bag miracle grow always has some kind of fertilizer in it so when you water nute are givin to the plant. I would suggest to transplant into a different soil. I like ocean forest which has some organic materials that helps feed the plant or you can go with pro mix which has no added ferts so you can control all the nutes being fed to your plants (i havnt personally used promix but I think thats right)

With MG oil it can be hard to say when to feed and whn you transplant into more MG theres more fresh nutes being delivered. For the fertilizer again im not familiar with it but sounds allright to me, read the label an you might try a 1/4-1/2 the recommended dosage first to ee how they respond and gradually give it more as it grows.

yea i actually sprayed some water on the plant the other day and i remember seeing some water droplets sitting on the leaves after i left the plant, and the soil i'm using is basically just like reg.miracle gro but has some extra sand and perlite,itsall i could find lying around the place cause im on a small budget. heres some pics of the fermented salmon plant food i have. i already diluted in an empty milk gallon to about half the recomended strength, just still not sure when to start using it, or if i even should use this to begin with.
