First Time Grow

First time growing still trying to learn the ropes. Hopefully I will get some smoke outa this.

Setup: Open closet 6.5x6x7.5 - 1000w MH/HPS - RH 50-80% - Temps 69-81F -

I'm wondering when i should start to flower these ladies? I cant really keep a mother(no sep room) So i need to get 2-3 cuttings off each plant for the next batch. Should i let them get to 3feet? And can i still clone them in flowering?

I made a few mistakes so far some of them being.

Using 2 diff soils Miracle Grow Organics & Roots Organics by Aurora

Getting 3 diff strains and also having only 0-10% humidity for the first 2 weeks.

Any suggestions/comments will be appreciated like i said this is my first grow im def a rookie but atleast im learning.

Also would you guys recommend using c02 for the first few harvests? Or shoild i just wait and see if i can even get smoke from this?

looking pretty good. Only thing i dont like is the reflective material, but fuck it for first grow. I wouldnt let them get to 3 feet tall because you should anticipate them getting about 2.5 times bigger in flower, and dont forget about the space needed between your plants and the light. I wouldnt take a couple clones of each one, I would try to take as many clones as I could off the best one.

I hate putting mylar up esp since my walls were not flush, its such a bitch. I even got the 2mil and it still sucked. I took a few cuttings from 2 of them already so lets see if I can get them to root. Used roottech gel.

if your light is as high as it can go already, I wouldn't let them get much taller than they are before you switch them. Like Dank said expect them to have a growth spurt when you put them into flower. And if you have the roots organic soil just use that. I don't know anyone who use's mg with bomb results. keep up the good work, plants look healthy. One last question, do those buckets have drain holes in them?

They look great! Had it been my grow I would have probably done fewer plants and with the height you have they can go at least to 3 or 4 feet before flowering, especially If you LST or Super Crop. You obviously know what you are doing though, they look good for having been in 2 mediums that are so vastly different. Most of that comes down to good watering habits. And knowing you made a mistake and learning enough to not make it worse. Best of luck!

Oh and once the flowers start to pop, you will want to lower the rh. Since you obviously put something in there to increase it, I am sure you can get it lower. I like to kep my flowering rh at 35-50%. Cuts down on molds and other diseases.

I put tons of holes with a drill on the bottom and also around the side at the bottom.
I had to take as many clones as i could from the med shop cause i live 2 1/2 hours away from it. I kinda wish i coulda got more. =P

I would say you got good temps and lighting for the space your in ect. Humidity 0-10 seems pretty low for any stage of growing, usualy you dont want anything reaching the 50s as it gives mold an opportunity to grow. I recommend never using any type of miracle grow brand name soil. What I usually use is Fox Farm organics soil in combined with Fox Farm liquid nutes. If you can get your hands on some of that you will get fantastic and very tasty results. Your local hydro store should carry it.

But your plants look very good tho nice growth going on, you will most likely end up having different heights in your plants due to different strains but possibly not. Every strain has its own system of growth. Personally I don't believe that c02 is necessary as I have never used it and always get great results, but pumping some in there would hurt.

Sounds like your gonna do fine. Try and order seeds to cut out that drive to the med shop. subed +rep

Forgot to turn my humidifier down last night....whoa 99% RH my shit was soaking wet..

One of my blue dreams looks like its budding. When i got all 3 of them they all looked like they were budding, two of them popped back into veg and are growing good and the third one has not grown at all and is still lookin like its budding. If this goes on too long will it hermie? Im wondering if i should just toss it?

We all make stoner mistakes and forgot to do one thing or another. Just try not to do them during drying and curing, that sucks. I would keep the plant for a bit longer and see what happens. We try and control mother nature with indoor grows, but sometimes she does what she wants.

Whats the latest u can take cuttings? I really dont want to have to start from seeds. I'll veg them longer if thats what i takes to get cuttings.

Hey great looking plants man, they can go to flower anytime. If you wait any longer you're gonna get jammed up. You've got a great setup & good eye, that room is gonna fill up so fast it'll blow your mind.
The older the plant the more issues come up.....like herm, i can get 4-6oz from a two foot plant. Co2 needs a sealed room or you'll be taking a dirt nap & seeds are easy to order these days.
4 plants in that space, flower at 4-6wks. of life, pot up every two wks. til flower, watch your ph close in the last month.....just a few thoughts, every grower is different.

Yea i got a humidifier since then, Idylis I-Hum 20-25. It does okay i just have to have so much air moving that while the lights are on im gettin like 30%RH. With them off it can jump to 99%RH really fast. I think i may start to flower next week since my buddies supposed to be bringing me some more clones.


U can really see how crappy the front right Blue Dream was. The one behind it is the same age and its growing like crazy now.

So can you take cuttings during early flower? Or is it best to always take cuttings in veg?
