First time grow with a very small budget.

Ok, so yesterday I gave her a small amount of water with a very small amount of blue stuff in it. I'm guessing she didn't like that much because she looks like she's drooping again.

I put some coffee grounds on top of the soil so she could get some nutes without water and then i sprinkled some ash on top just to make sure that it wasn't too acidic.

A couple of the leaves (the 2 in the last 2 pictures) have dark spots on them which could be from the tin foil I had in there since they were both facing it. I have since taken the foil down (I only had it up because I have wrapping paper on the inside of the box and I didn't want it to grow mold from the water over spray)

So I didn't water her today, hopefully she'll reach back up again and all will be right with the world (or at least mine).

look like u mite have nute blockout, something to due with salt build up. do a RIU search on the fourm tool bar an read read. do u test the ph of water & soil?

Toak - I can't see what you mean by RIU search, sorry I'm a total noob.

Here are today's batch of pics. She seems to have perked back up again. I can't tell if the two leaves that I was talking about last time are getting better or worse.

I also noticed that some of the small leaves in that bush at the bottom are getting discolored.

If the problem is salt build up, I'm going to have to flush it, right?

"search" on the tool bar, where the log in log out is, go to the left, theres quick link, search, new post, fourm rules ect.. the search is kinda vague but if u search certain keywords and read though alot of bullsh#t, u can find what u need. ur plants look lime green, is it cause of ur flash?

Toak- The flash does lighten the color up a bit, but the leaves are a pretty light green. I haven't done much reading on that yet but I'm guessing it might have to do with the over-watering problem I had earlier.

Here are this morning's pics. the top leaves are all looking good and even the damaged leaves are perkier than they were.

I think I am seeing little growths forming where I topped it which is exciting.

I am thinking of mixing in some H2O2 for the next watering. I have read that it can help fix problems caused by over-watering.

molasses is good too. mix 2 spoons in a gallon of water. It help make the microorganisms work faster and harder for ur plants

Anybody have any questions, comments, concerns? I just asked about my leaves and was told it was nute burn even though I've only fertilized her a total of 4 or 5 times...Anyone else believe I should flush?

So day 49. I just flushed her with 6 gallons of water ( 2 gallon bucket, 3 flushes per gallon). I am going to do 2 more gallons and then let her sit in the sink for a little bit.

I noticed that when the water first started coming out it was yellow-ish. By the last gallons the water was looking clearer; I'm hoping that means I managed to wash away any bad build ups and the leaves will look better.

EDIT: All pics pre-flushing

So I just did a "do it yourself" soil test. I didn't have any vinegar but I figured I'd still test for acidity with some baking soda. When i did this i found that it bubbled so my soil is indeed acidic. I am going to flush it a bit more and then add some potash to try and balance the ph level out.

So I did the flush on her and here she is. I'm staying positive that this will clear up the leaf issue.

About how long does it take for the plant to recover from flushing?
4-6 days, (if thats ur problem)some of the leafs may not recover. i didn't realize u added some blue shit in 16oz. of water. this could very well be ur problem. u should test ph of run off when u flush wjth ph testing strip(cheap or ez to steal:-?)

when u get some money together(sell something u own) go organic its harder to over fertilize and gives u sweet taste and smelling buds

I'd still like some input on when to flower. If I do it now I should get about an 18 inch plant right? And has anyone ever done the 24 hours of darkness thing before switching to 12/12? Did it work better?
yes 24 hours of darkness is good for the first night when u swich over to 12/12. they grow alot at night, and it will help to show sex faster

good luck on ur nute burn/ overwatering and possible nute lockout keep me posted i want to see how they react

So I checked her this morning and the leaves weren't too droopy. It was suggested in another thread that I started that the problem is more likely nute deficiencies but there was also the ph problem. Hopefully with the potash added the ph was balanced, I'll be able to actually test that soon. I added a small amount of very diluted Miracle Grow water to her to see how she responds to that, but I'm almost certain that the problem was deficiencies.

Just read your journal. What type of soil are you using? because it looks hungry bro. It would be OK to flower now if you want, I flowered mine after a month of veg. Also, are you monitoring your PH?

I am using Miracle Grow Organic Potting Soil. I just topped it a few days ago and so I am going to give her a bit to develop the new colas before I flower her. I don't have any means to test ph. I was able to test the soil with baking soda and found that it was slightly acidic. I am getting some testing strips from a friend so I will be able to test my water soon also.

I wasn't aware you weren't using PH'ed water. You definitely need to start dong that. Keep it at 6.8
