First time grow, White Widow.

Ok so last night I under watered, had only added a couple drops of water to the top of my rock wool cube thinking it was moist enough. Woke up this morning and my 1st sproutling was drooped all the way down almost touching the wool cube. To help with the moisture I moved all three of my sproutlings to a small terrarium. There is a soaked paper towel underneath my jiffy tubes which is allowing it to grab moisture and keep it all the way from the bottom to the top of the tubes. The next thing I did was lay 4 layers of paper towels with small holes cut around the stem over my rock wool cube. I soaked these in water, so that they can keep the tops moist. After that I laid a sheet of cling wrap with holes cut out of it as well over top of the paper towels, so that it would trap the moisture in. All this is being done because i'm expecting to leave for a couple of days next week and I was trying to come up with a solution on how to keep my plants from drying out. Moreover, I was hoping to get some feedback on whether or not you think my first sproutling is still alive, and will continue to grow. The first two picks are befores and afters i'm already starting to see the sproutling starting to grab for the light, as it is starting to stand back up which leads me to believe I dodge a bullet...phew.

Here are the two plants I managed to salvage from my seeds. Just a recent update, the twenty that I had germing got exposed to some type of algae or mold, and they were all rotted. Fortunately enough I still have more seeds that i'm going to begin germinating, and hopefully it won't create to much of a problem keeping them together. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Yeah I just tossed them. I had my seeds germing in rock wool cubes. The cubes were sitting on top of a saturated paper towel inside of a bag. Mistakenly I assumed it would be ok, but the atmosphere abled some type of moss or algae and it rotted the seeds. Luckily I have some back ups (thanks to amsterdam seed co. with the free 20 seed hook up).

Thanks man i'm looking forward to the grow as well ;). Ummm i'm not actually sure i'm open to any suggestions. I wanted to top them while they are still in the phototron, and than allow them to rebound for awhile. Than I wanted to move them from there into my closet, and let them veg under a T5. I'm guessing it would be about 2 weeks before I repot them from the dixie cups?

plants that age are prone to drooping leaves if ur RH is to low, seems ur new to all this watch ur plants for signs of leaf curling an the edges of the leaves starting to go brown if this happens it is ur RH being to low,at 1st they give the same signs as an over waterd plant or an over fed plant,if u your self no 4 a fact it has not been over waterd or over fed then it gonna be the low humidity, youg plant love the humidity to be high they thrive off it so try an keep it at the lowest of 40% an the highrst at 70-75% an try to keep it that way till ur gonna flower high RH is ok in flower 4 the 1st couple of weeks but as soon as u see ur buds starting to form the RH needs to dropped inbetween a minum of 20-30% an a maxium of 50%,im only telling u this because i have come across alot of newbies that have thought they have overwaterd/over fed an it has been something silly like the RH,u will get some users that say RH dont matter an there only saying that cause were ever they are in the world may have good RH in the air so it has never botherd them but if u live some were ' were RH is a problem then u will no what im banging on about, hope this makes sense to u m8

Thanks smokeingdog! That seemed to have summed it up perfectly for me, exactly what I needed to read. I noticed a little bit of browning of my first set of leaves, and the tips have been curled. I'm vegging and sprouting the seeds in a phototron I posted pics of it in the beginning. I was wondering if you could give me some tips on how to bump the RH up for the little guys.

Those are looking pretty solid bro! I ran into some problems with my plants :( i'm transplanting them to bigger pots tomorrow but i have powder mold and need to get a temp/humid reader.. this budget fucking sucks.. haha but i found a organic way of fixing it so hopefully they will come out of this in a couple days so i can throw them into flower and see them beauties bloom!

A quick fix to raise the RH could be as simple as leaving an open container with water in it.
But with your phototron, you would need to leave one of the slide panels propped just a little so it doesn't get too humid.
then you'll be left with the algae and stuff you had earlier.
You should invest in a hydrometer to help keep up with you RH levels.

Are those ladies topped already? :)
Looking solid!
Let them get rootbound in the dixies, transplant, and hit em with the big light.
If these little guys are as persistent of a grower as they say, they should love it.

Yah, Definitely transplant. You don't want those ladies getting root bound and stunted in dixie cups :P How are the other seedlings coming?

Here are some pics from what I believe was Saturday the 6th (blame it on the smoke). Haven't really had that much time to post with school and all that responsibility shit. The ladies are coming along nice, as well as all of the sprouts. There is no real set schedule when I water them just checking them with my tester, and keeping them nice and moist when they need it. Still haven't got any kelp water yet the grow store I went to only had one in a 60 dollar jug and I couldn't drop that much on the spot. Any suggestions where I could maybe find a smaller one, or any alternatives to it? Was also wondering when would be a good time to top. I can see the first three nodes however there is little space in between them and they aren't as predominant as I would like them. Was looking for some help and good information on when to top, how often to top, etc. Thanks.

Forgot to link. This is the only kelp I was able to find at the grow store. Should I just invest the 60 bucks and sit on it for awhile?

Am not sure that sitting on it will help all that much, after all.. it's already age-old... seriously though, if you're doing mixing of homebrew things, letting nutes / supplements sit around for months can cause issues as they pick up humidity/moisture/potential bugs/etc depending on what you're stockpiling. Only way I keep anything more than 2 weeks that's 'open' from a sealed bag is to put said bag in another bag, then flush the O2 out of it with nitrogen before resealing... just a bit anal about that, but would rather my shit be as I intend it to be when the bag is reopened. Your mileage may vary greatly.
