Hello everyone,

This is going to be my first grow and I wanted to list everything I have purchased to date. I would appreciate any feedback related to my grow. Please don't criticize what I have purchased as it is too late and there is nothing I can do about it now.

Current Items:
-Gorilla Grow tent 2x2.5.x6'11" (with extensions)
-Led light, Kind LED K3 L300
-Current Culture, under current solo 8 gallon.
-Phresh filter 4"x12" with ducts
-4" Gale Force inline-duct fan
-generic thermometer and PPM tester (Still need to by a PH tester)
-Still need to buy a fan for airflow inside the tent
-Florabloom nutrients

Here is a picture of how I have it setup currently.

Next is the carbon filter setup, it runs to the top of the tent

Here is a picture of the duct coming into the tent

And finally, here is just a picture of the PPM and thermometer im using

If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

srt

You're ready, set, GO!

Every now and then I plug in a digital meter for soil moisture. I got one that ran about 10 bucks because the cheap ones break after too many checks in soil.
I usually water by watching the plant to tell me when to water...

Your filter is the wrong way round. It should be in the tent and you should such through it. The other way round you will fill it with dust and it won't work. That's what the white stuff on the outside is for.

i agree with the other user about your fan and filter. however it isn't because it wont work its simply because its not as efficient that way, not to mention the amount of ducting and bends greatly reduces CFM and since you're not using a HID light, i would just hang fan and filter from the top bars of tent and run the ducting out of grow area.. you should suck through the filter, instead of blowing through it

Hi everyone, first, thanks for the responses. This being my first grow I went off what the website Hydrobuilder.com recommended. Below is the diagram I used to come to this conclusion. Just curious, why they would have this is the preferred method. I am wondering if they have prefer it this way due to the small tent size I am using. This image used from the 2x2.5 Gorilla Grow Tent package (http://hydrobuilder.com/led-k3-300-watt-2-x-2-5-gorilla-grow-tent-lighting-package.html) (See the setup tab if interested.)

Any thoughts why they would prefer this method over the others? Or is this just an old, outdated setup?

Thanks,

srt

Either method would work in my opinion. Most of the setups I have been apart of have the filter and fan inside the tent. I have found connecting the fan directly to the filter has the best effect. Less duct and bends the better (easier you make it for the air flow the better)
