First time grow (pics)

This is my first time growing. I currently have one plant growing but I plan on cloning it if it turns out to be female. The plant is 17 days old from seed. I'm growing in a half gallon milk jug for now but I plan on transplanting later on. I made a little cover for it so the rain doesn't get it. I'm using some soil that's been laying around not sure the age or brand I mixed in some cow poop with it. Is the plant a good size for 17 days its been getting about 5 hours direct sunlight? I have some pale white stains on some leafs they rinse off with water what could this be? One of the bottom leafs is turning yellow what nute am I missing? How big should I let the plant get before transplanting?

it looks good, but what's with the tinfoil? take that right off. it's normal for the first leaves to yellow and die.

if you plan on cloning it, don't wait til it starts to flower. it will be too late in the plants lifecycle to risk trying. and the clones won't have time to develope and grow. you're best bet is to top or FIM it a couple or three times to get more tops in case it does turn out female.

i wouldnt bother cloning since this is your first time, i would go with more seeds. but its up to you. the plant looks pretty good but its not very large. do you plan on giving it nutes? its normal for the bottom round water leaves to die and fall off, although i noticed it has 3. theres usually only 2. and if that tinfoil is on the jug is to keep light from hitting the roots thats good, keep it on. but its useless for reflecting light. you might want to move them it to an area with more light also. good luck

you can do the whole grow in the current container if you so choose it just depends on how big you want to let it get. The white stuff on your leaves is probably some sort of mildew which you can figure out how to get rid of by searching the forums on this site. All in all I think it looks good keep it up!

the have a lot of things you can use. i dont know if you want to do an organic grow but you can with stuff from home depot. this is what i've seen there from what i can remember:

miracle gro organic all purpose liquid. 10-0-0
alaskan fish fertilizer. 5-1-1
miracle gro organic blood and bone meal. 12-0-0/6-9-0
miracle gro organic plant food. 7-1-2
dynamite mater magic. 8-5-5
espoma garden tone. 3-4-4
dolomite lime

im using the MG all purpose liquid and it works well. im also using miracle gro cactus so my nutes are balanced. its 2-7-7. if i were you, i'd get a bag of good organic soil and either the MG plant food or the espoma garden tone. add these to your soil and youll have a pretty good mix. then get some liquid ferts that are high in nitrogen. then you should be set until flowering
