Man they are looking good. Definitely cant see any balls there.
The new bits are either female or, most likely, stipules.
When Alice flowered she grew more stipules first, so, good vibes coming from this way.

Your plants are looking fantastic Staro, lovely colour and really healthy. I know what you're going through with both the waiting and the weather. Mine have thankfully been showing plenty of pre-flowers, but for ages now with still no sign of them flowering. And the weather is crap here as well. All we can do is hope it turns soon but I'm not holding my breath LOL. I'm sure you'll see pre-flowers soon - keep your chin up mate it'll work out ;) Catch you later Staro.

Cheers for the good words guys. I am pretty pleased with the plants on the whole.

I'm gonna go and have a look at them now and see if i can get some really good shots (taking a tripod!)

Speak soon

Well just been round to give my plants a health check.

pH levels are all around the 6.4 region so pretty pleased with that.

Comparing all the tiny preflowers to these pictures I am....
100% sure I have 2 females
85% sure I have another female
50% sure I have another female
50% sure I have a male
and am really undecided on one of the plants....

4 out of 6 would be great, 5 out of 6 would be even better!

Nothing has really happened at all to the plants in the last 5 days, but then again the weather has been awful!

They have been on a 12/12 cycle for 13 days now but the shit weather is slowing down development. In my years on this fine planet this is the worst summer I can remember. Having looked at previous weather reports I'm not that worried about letting my plants flower into mid Oct as it seems it doesn't get that cold.

I will post some pictures in the next few days
Stay tuned!

Hey Barking. That picture is of one of my plants that I'm now sure is a female. Not seen any balls as such yet. Cheers for the encouraging words.

tripod ya plants finna get a close up?
Hi mane. Welcome to the journal. Hope you enjoyed. I tried the whole tripod and close up shots but I dont think the camera is good enough. The manual focus option won't let me get close enough. I'll do my best with the camera over the weekend.

Hey greenb. Your constant referring to my plants as girls may be paying off! Check back on the weekend for plant porn ;-)

Yo!

Well as promised some pictures.
Will give the thumbnail way a go to see if the pics come out any better

Pic 1 - Plant 1
I'm really not sure about this one yet..
???Question??? Males have balls like a bunch of grapes right... Do the bunch start to grow together or one by one?
It also looks a lot more thin and spindly than the rest...
Pic 2 - Plant 2
Female!
Pic 3 - Plant 3
Female!
Pic 4 - Plant 4
Female!
Pic 5 - Plant 5
This is the plant that got damaged when transplanting and lost about a foot of growth. It's recovered and grown stocky and bushy. This is the plant I am most undecided on atm.
Pic 6 - Me and the gang
Just to give some perspective I am 6ft
Pic 7 & 8 - You can see the white pistils coming out of the calyx

Hope you enjoyed. Comments welcome as always

Lookin' good Staro mate, they've done very well indeed given the later start and crappy weather (at least here it's still crappy). I must say you look very proud of your "girls" despite the fact your face is hidden LOL. And so you should be mate ;) If we get any amount of sun over the next month or so we will be landed ....

Cheers greenb

Next year I'm thinking of starting the grow in March in a shed under fluro's 24hr. Then in April when the weather picks up moving them outside. Should get some 7ft monsters that way. Although that kinda makes it hard to move them! Also looking into cloning at the moment and gonna get myself a tasty mother to ensure females next year. Was thinking NYC Diesel!
Even though the weather has been shite this summer this first grow has been a lot of fun and the plants seemed to have turned out pretty good, I just can't wait to start the next!
And the best thing is I have no desire to grow indoors. Natrual organic outdoor weed is far superior!
Posted any recent pics?

great pictures mate, im doing the same in west london, i , i have 7 maroc females all about 4 feet tall, your blog has been really good for me as im following some three weeks behind you, Its also my first grow, i think we have been so unlucky with such wet weather lacking real sunshine and heat. you know we havent hit 90 degrees this summer in the uk, twice normal august rainfall, Im so hoping for a Indian summer, throughout September, Like you im not flowering yet, but instructions say harvest in middle October !

Who said anything about England? :spew:
Yeah force flowering in a shed at night. The shed is lightproof and it seems to be doing the job well. Yeah they go in and come out at the same time every day.

The strain is Hawaii x Skunk #1. Spoke to a seed shop and they recommended it for growing outdoors in the UK.

I'm gonna take some clones off a plant that hasn't started flowering yet and see if I can keep a mother going over the winter. Will clone her and grow under cfl that way I'll have guaranteed females about a foot in size ready to go out in april. Want some trees next summer ;-)

Quick update

Well I killed off my males so only the 3 girls left now. Will name them soon!
Also still have my test plant, but "it" isnt on a 12/12 photoperiod...

Well the wind has been pretty bad the last few days and blown the plants over a few times. So I built a frame to hold the plants up even in a gale.

No sign of any buds yet. They've been on a 12/12 for 19 days now. Plenty of white hairs at the top of the plant but not so many further down.

I will do my best to get some proper photos up later in the week.

A few photos...
The huge fan leaf is off a male, don't panic!

Are you in Cali? Too early for Santa Ana's?
The forcast over here looks to be improving and some calm winds and a bit of sun looks to be on the way for weekend. If next summer is as bad as the last two have been, I'm moving!

Just stopping by. Looking good 'Straps'
Cheers bmad. Had a good long look through your journal the other day. One thing I noticed was how much you learnt throughout the grow. I'm the same. Can't wait for next year!!!

Had a look at my girls today and bud development is really coming along now. They look really good. There was some marking on one of the leaves, unlike anything I've seen before. Could it be windburn?

Didn't have my digi on me so my phone had to do. Enjoy!

Looking really good Staro. My Purple Powers are looking similar, except for one which is producing dark purple buds as I type. I'll get a few pics and stick them up on my journal. Your shed is obviously doing the trick. Keep up the good work ;)
