First time grow, need advise.

Hello.

I’m new to growing and this is my first time here. I’m growing outdoors.in SE Asia.
Landrace, Sativa.
In pots organic fabric ones.
It’s usually hot (11.5 hrs of sun)and my seedlings (3) got real lanky. I’ve just moved/replanted them to a better container like suggested.
Since I can’t move the sun (I’m in SE ASIA) what are my options?
Also my plants (2seedlings) cannot get the full benefit of morning sunlight.
As far as nutrients,....it’s a pain looking for them here..garden Centers seem non existent.
Clerks in agarden section inside a hardware store don’t even know what perlite is.
Frustrating to say the least.
Anyone knowledgable enough or in the same climate ?

You can't move the sun, but you can move the pot.
move them to where they can get sun all day long. they are stretching to find more light. When it comes time to re plant, you can bury them almost up to the first node, this will compensate for some of the stretch. Forget about bottled nutrients, forget about perlite. build some good living soil (WTF is that? google is your friend, hanging out in the "organics section of this forum will also be enlightening) , Much healthier, stronger and tastier plants from growing in living soil than with nutrients. And there will be no need to flush, because your plants won't be full of chemical fertilisers.

If you’re in pots.. I’d keep them indoors 4-5 hours a day under light and depending on the intensity, keep I pretty close 12” away (they are stretching because they need more light) for a T5 and then put them outside for the best light hours you can give them.
This is exactly how my spring light dep works! 2-3 hours under Gavitas in the AM the sun from 10-4:00 the 2-3 more hours of the Gavitas.

I have to double check my surroundings but the daylight sun (morning sun..specifically) is blocked by a high wall. I may move this indoors and give it light (have a spare sort-of storage room). I’m really caught in a rock and a hard place, me thinks. Should’ve thought this through.

Do you have anything like a big box home improvement center?

Just get a bag of organic potting soil. That’ll get you a long way.

Anything less than about 14 hours of light a day will trigger flowering. So if you want them to grow they need more than 15 hours of sun or artificial light each day.
When they’ve achieve a height you’re happy with then expose them to only 11 1/2 -12 hours of light per day.
Mark the day of a calendar and 55-65 days later you should be done.

There are lots of other things to consider, but those are the bare basics.

you could take up hiking, find a nice spot for a guerrilla grow and plant it pout maybe?

there’s no home improvement center like Home Depot or lowes or big box store like Walmart, Costco per se’...the ones similar to Costco do not have anything i may need for this grow.
Mostly huge industrial construction, agri-vets and lumber yard types. True value and ace are so limited.
However, I acquired half a sack of organic potting soil which the seedlings have been planted on. Also now have organic peat moss and perlite from a Japanese pop up shop.
I’ve been spoiled coming from the states and from a state w/ legal rec & med. rules. My growing knowledge is a tad limited by my sorroundings & laws.
The need for creativity is needed re:space. And since it’s meds for a relative and mine...2-3 maybe four plants that may actually survive would be just as good as having ten.
It is generally very hot high 80’s-low90’s with tolerable humidity most of the day. But for the last 3 wks.(until yesterday) it’s been gloomy and cloudy with rains on and off.
No nutrients have been added since. I figured none is better than any unknown or unsure ones. Also imho..in its seedling and veg stage no notes are needed. I plan to scrog it. If I’m lucky enough to see it through this “hiccup”.
So now debating that I may have to decide on what type of light/s I can acquire to mimic a semblance of an indoor grow. I refuse to let them not survive.

I wish I could... it’ll be part of a fun adventure. I considered your idea awhile back
It’s just not feasible where I am. On a friend’s land or garden perhaps...a conversation I’m going to have later today.

What is T5? Tungsten?

HO. High Output ...T5 is a Florescent bulb type.
One of the more energy efficient, cost effective light sources.
