Hi everyone,
I've been working on my first grow for a little over two months now. I've asked alot of small questions on here there. I'm starting my grow journal now.
I had started with a good amount of failure.
I had some very old bag seeds that I started with, i had about 7. Surprisingly half had germinated. I made alot of noobie mistakes, I put them in miracle grow, under a totally crap incandescant. None of them popped above the surface.
Since then I've been doing alot better. Been using all bag seeds, from really dank weed. Two mango kush and other mixed unknown strains. They all range in age since you only get so many seeds in a bag, if any at all. I've had about a 90% success rate germinating newer seeds.
I now have them in Black Gold Potting Mix, and nutriate them with Jack's Classic 20-20-20. They are in a large grow trunk 20"x20"x33". Current lights are two large 68watt (300 watt equivilant) cfls, both in 2700k spectrum. I couldnt easily find any in the right spectrum, 6500k. But I will be upgrading to HID soon.
I will be having to move my plants into their permanent grow room soon, the best part being is im not challenged space wise. I should be getting them in about 4 days.
I will be using 5 gallon grow bags, and will be buying Promix soil 4 for all the soil ill be needing. I'll be using Jack's classic bloom booster for flowering.
Its important for me to keep noise down, so i will be going with this quiet recomended inline fan.
