First time grow cardboard box 3 plants

2 ASH which is a combination of 25% Skunk, 50%Afghan and 25% Haze-Thai/Columbian/Mexican

1 Black Widow: 50 %Brazilian sativa x 50 %South Indian Indica

Lighting:
3 65w CFL 4200 Lumens each
1 23w CFL 1660 Lumens

2 6" fans ( 1 intake and 1 exhaust )

Plants at 3 weeks, i wanna flower soon but not sure when. please post any advice to help me its my first grow

Really looking forward to the black widow flower

I would flower at 4 weeks, your going to be hard pressed to keep all of the plants in that box when growth explodes after flower has started. Ask me how I know, or better yet take a look at my 1 plant cardboard box grow. Link is in my sig. Looks good though, keep it up and stay high!

Should I change all my lights to 2700K 75w CFLs or can I just put 1 2700K 75w CFL over each plant( 3 in total) and keep the 6500K lights on the bottom parts?

Thanks for the reply how tall do you think they will get once they start to flower?

u need moar lights get a couple of 105watts 2700k cfl's and theire ready to flowerbut ull need moar space they strech alot during flowering

Why do you have plastic around the ballasts of your lights?

Yea, I agree. I wouldn't trust that plastic there.

Your plants will double or triple in size while flowering.

Go with a ratio of 2 2700 : 1 6500k for flower, if you want to mix colors. I would definitely get more light in there, you won't regret it if you can keep the heat away.

What are your temps like?

its tape thats holding the light it doesnt cover it just holds the bottom side.

temps are 25-30 celcius i have my bathroom window open and when it gets too hot i open my door and let my AC in to keep it down
the fans are doing a very good job(exhaust and intake)

I don't like the tape idea. But to each his own I guess. I still say go for a few more lights and another fan or two. What do you think?

What type of soil/amendments/nutes are you using?

tape has been working so far so i dont see how its a problem.
i made my own mix of soil which has sand and like twigs in it haha i bought 3 types and mixed. theres not much stuff you can buy where i live so its quite hard. i need to get nutes for flowering but im not sure what i should get.. is there a way i can make my own?

i have a soil PH tester that will arrive soon because they dont sell them where i live..

ive added 1 more fan already and im currently using 1/4 strengh miracle grow(just because it was the best one i could find) where i live they dont sell much to do with growing so its quite hard and the weed we get here really sucks so if this succeeds it will litteraly be the only black widow and ASH in the country :lol:

I don't know any way of making your own nutes other than building up your soil. If you have the cash just look around on here, a lot of people use different things. All I've really used is Miracle Gro and BCs success starter kit (something like that). And some other chemical nute, cheap like Miracle Gro forget the name but it's laying around somewhere. Some people have pretty good success with Miracle Gro if you want to stick with that.

i woke up today and one of the ASH plants is looking really bad i dont know whats wrong can you guys take a look at the attachments?
it is not effecting the new growth on top just the bottom leaves and is slowly moving up. could it be zinc deficiency?

May I ask, what is that plastic around your cfl bulb ballasts? You may want to rethink that. I dont know how its done so I dont want to speculate but if its done like i think, the ballast has no way to exhaust the heat its producing - could burn out ur bulb. I dont wanna say ull burn ur house down but jus keep an eye on it lol tevrything else looks wonderful thumbs up!

Wait, I just saw the update pics - I have two questions 1: Whats the temps in the box? Are they a steady 75-85 degree? What the damage on those plants looks like to me is Aluminum Heat Stress - I tested out an LST with tin foil reflector and sure enough got the same "burn" marks all throughout my plants fan leaves. They start very small and are almost pin hole, the next day they are pencil holes and the day after that they are so f'd up the leaf is useless lol.

2. PH, obviously. Although that doesnt look like a PH issue to me, you never know.

I don't know, I'm sticking with it being either a pH problem or possibly nute burn.

He said he mixed 3 different kinds of soil together that had alot of sticks and shit in it, makes me think about pH.

i thought of that which is why i didnt cover them its just coverved a littlebit dont worry its been working for almost a month now hehe.,
im getting my soil pH tester today which i had to order with 20$ shipping

temps are 25-30 celcius

only one of my plants has those brown spots though and they are all in there so could it be possible that aluminium heat stress effects only 1 of em?

as soon as i get my pH tester ill post an update the second ASH is doing well.

a small update im going to start flowering tmrow any advice?

one of the ASH plants isnt doing too well, and the ww is also having some problems because of a rough transplant due to my friends house being raided.
the ASH plant is bushier than the white widow even though it has 60% sativa.. is that even possible?
