First Time Germination -need tips

So I have a couple white widow autoflowers on their way from Headies.

This is my first grow, I'm using a coco coir w/ CFL & LED system & fox farms trio.

I want everything to be perfect.

I want %100 germination, my girlfriend is funding the grow, is finicky about the cash and is relying all on me to grow. Mistakes can't be made!

I already killed our first clone (although we received it over watered and I suspect w/ root rot) so I'm hoping the seeds are better.

What's your favorite way to germinate???

I was thinking:
Some sort of starter plug
RO water
Soak seeds in water couple hours plant in plugs and place under ghetto humidity dome (maybe a plastic cake tray thing) and 36-60w 6500k CFL
Then transplant to 3 gallon smart pots

What do you think?

I was considering Canna Start too, I'm worried with the seedlings starting in nutrient less coco and not wanting to use the strong fox farms nutes.

Any input is appreciated, thank you!

I personally have good success with both the paper towel method and just soaking the seed in water til the taproot pokes out. I prefer methods that let me see what the seed is doing versus the plant-and-wait techs...

I personally use the paper towel method, i put them on top of my light reflector for heat and cover with card for darkness. Also make sure there is some air getting into the bag to prevent rot.

I like the idea of soaking for a bit then planting them in starter plugs with ro water. I don't like putting a dome over them, it breeds fungus with all the moisture. Just keep the plug moist, not wet, and put a light above it for a bit of warmth. Also I would not plant direct into a 3 gallon smart pot, I prefer to start in a much smaller container to start and transplant.

I germinate in a ice-cream container with some tissues and a spray bottle 2-3 days i get 90% from 10 seeds sprout and put them in a esky with the lid closed to keep it a little humid seems to work for me

With regular seed I found em easier to pop in anything and fast, fems I do in a wet tissue then in the electric dome the work pritty well.I never grown autos but like hotshot said you need to either transplant onceor put it a pot that it stays if whole life cycle in to reduce shock to your plant. Remember autos only have so long to live so keep it stress free as possible and you should be fine. Wish you all the best mate.
