I agree. I'm not going to rely on those plants. Just use them as a learning media.
What ever I get from them I would expect it not to be quality. But at least it will still burn! lol
Well, those are just clones from my mamma so I can just make some new ones beings she is getting really bushy and a bit too big.
Time to trim! :-P

Just one thing I don't get is why is the PPM not moving. Plants too small?
Shouldn't it move at least a bit down, just a little even?
Maybe there was not enough nutes to really gauge how much was being taken? (reading from 200 - 300)
I'm just taking stabs in the dark here.

Well, I did put some of the Tomato Fert on it (they are granules) about a table spoon of that in.

Just FYI to anyone thinking the same. DON'T DO IT! I started to get root rot within 3 days of doing it
So that seems to be a really bad idea if you don't have all the proper minor nutes and have these granules
of Fert and think you can use then because you CAN'T!

So now I have to deal with Root Rot and now have put in my 3 gallons/13.5 liters 3ml per liter.
I think these clones are getting hell from me. I have been dishing out it seems every mistake on these plants and they are still there, in body at least.lol

Well we learn from our mistakes so just think of how much knowledge and experience you will gain from this first attempt! BTW there is a great post on root rot and how to deal with it stickied on these forums.

I'm glad you did not cut down and start over. You most definitely have a LOT to learn from this plant. I just wish I would have read this post sooner so as to try and stop you from using the tomato nute crap that gave you root rot. Sorry that happened and hope you recovered from it. Here are my thoughts:

- Nitrogen deficiency (I'm surprised no one else mentioned this as it seems clear)
- Potassium deficiency
- ppm issue (i was thinking too low due to nutrient deficiencies, but maybe not high enough)
- ph issue (could also be the cause of nute deficiencies, but it seems like you have had it at around 5.7 or so consistently, which is great)

so it's gonna take some trial and error to figured out issues, but keep at it and you'll get there. Doing good so far. Just remember not to try too many things at once or you won't know what fixed it.

also, remember to never mix one nutrient with another when measuring them out (e.g. mixing General Hydroponic flora micro and flora bloom together in same measuring cup). Doing this can cause some nutrients to bond with others which of course would not be desirable.

I'm kinda glad I figured out I had root rot on my own. Now I know not to ever do that.
I just thought nutes are nutes. Obviously not lol.

As far as my PPM issues, they were at 1340ppm @ 14 liters of water with a table spoon of epsom salt and 35ml of nutes and some PH correction.

Just curious, I'm using Spa PH up and down. Not the liquid stuff it's the salt like stuff. Thats ok right?

Spa PH up and down? Spa as in the one for swimming pools?! I don't know much about that brand and what it contains but I would be more cautious when feeding new stuff to my plants. Personally I wouldn't use it, besides PH up and down from a hydro store is not expensive.

Yes, Spa as in hot tubs and pools. The PH up is Sodium Carbonate and the PH Down is Sodium Bisulphate in salt like form.
I use this to adjust my PH levels. I'll be investing in some liquid PH adjuster if I really have to but I think this stuff is the
exact same thing as the liquid PH adjusters. If I'm wrong correct me please.

Now I can see the truth.
I'm going to go get that stuff ASAP.
I should have added that to my info earlier in the post.
Maybe this is the reason why I am struggling with my ladies and I'm having these issues?....

That is most likely the reason you are having problems. It causes nute lock out which = deficiencies. No matter how much you would have added it wouldn't have made a difference. Get some ASAP and throw all that water away and put a fresh batch in.

BTW when doing your water change I would make sure and wipe down all your buckets/res to make sure none of that is left behind.
