First time defoliation, help a brother out.

Hi, im about to try defoliation for the first time and need some help on which and how many leaves I should remove at the same time without doing damage to my plant?

Should I remove the big fan leaves connected to the big main stem and/or the big leaves connected to the side branches, if so how many can I remove?

Strain: Bubba´s Gift (Humboldt seeds), week 3 in bloom.

just let it ride, tuck leaves out of the way if you have to. Trimming in flower will stall it, prolonging your flower time. If you feel you must though only remove one or two leaves at a time. The best time to prune is in veg so they can recover, that's when you clip off all the little sucker branches and leaves around the base and do any topping or training, that way the flower cycle can proceed unimpeded

defoliating is damaging to your plant. remove only damaged/infected/non functioning leaves. I grow dozens of strain that never get leaves torn off. They get 5 feet tall, return 5+ ounces, no training, no tricks, no defoliation even:wall:

Yeah i´ve never done it before it either, get around 5-8 ouncez per plant, but if the picture I uploaded worked you would see why im asking.

Yeah, I want to try and see what the fuzz about defoliation is about :)
I grow in hydroponics though.
I will upload a pic on my three plants when the admins fix the problem.

The run I had going on before this I manage to yeild 17.6 oz from three plants, dried buds.

My record is 14oz on one plant, dried buds. (Blueberry from barneys farm).
