Are you using a rooting powder or anything like cloneX?
Was the cutting done at an angle?
Is it ph'ed properly? all though I'm unsure if this will make a difference, people have many ways to clone.
Is your environment conditions met such as humidity and temperature?

I usually wait about a week or so at the max, if i don't see roots but the plant looks stable enough sometimes I recut the clone and start over usually I'll get roots the 2nd time around.
Clones like a super humid environment roughly 70-80%, the roots like a dark environment try covering up the cup so it's 100% dark just as if the roots were buried in soil.
I also spray the clones with 1/4 strength plant food to keep everything moist as things dry out (using a rock wool or those expanding circle pellets)

Try taking 2 clones off the plant your determining the sex of . Place it in a cup of ph 'water 5.5-6.2 ( everyone has a preference ) stick the 2 of them in the dark for 10 days . In 10 days you will know.

No keep in mind I was doing thus strictly for determining sex and there were a lot of mothers brother . None of them took after in the water .

That looks like heck of leaf mass on a fresh cut clone, IMO. You don't need those big fan leaves and even the remainder leaves can be cut in half. The plant will be working harder to maintain those leaves via photosynthesis instead of laying down roots.

In any case, 5 days is nothing to worry about, be patient. That looks a healthy cutting and will root eventually, with or without hormones. Some folks report roots in 7 days but on my timetables I don't expect any significant roots outside of 10-14 days.

I've never liked the water cup method but each to their own.

pH isn't a thing until there's roots, when it becomes critical to proper cation exchange at the root zone.

here are my new clones
i trimmed some leaves and those clones didnt like it at all they kinda curled up a bit
i dipped them in honey water lol and cut them in a 45ish angle..theyre sitting in a transparent plastic lunch box with a plastic bag wrapped on top of it..it was the best and closest thing to a humidity dome i could do..so i should just spray on top of them and not directly on the soil?and they will root?

Hey friend... Its weed. It grows everywhere. take a cut, put it in a water bottle ( like the 20oz gas station bottle) and in two weeks you will have healthy clones with nice long roots. Its honestly that simple. just keep away from direct sunlight until you see roots and have transplanted. Hope this easy cheap no mess way helps buddy.

My humidity dome, bought for 1.25 $ from the dollar store. Just a simple lunch container!!! Works amazing with all sizes.

And a clone I just planted a day ago from my humidity dome, just know once they come outta the humide environment they might droop for an hour to get use to the new environment.

ive looked around but there is no humidity dome on sale around here man
should i spray directly on the soil in cups or just on top of the plants?
btw is it normal for leaves to curl up a bit when i cut them in half?

You don't need to waste your money on those hi end things. Any clear container should work, or those seed starting kits with the black bottoms and plastic clear tops.
You don't need to spend more than 10$ on it!

As far as spraying the plants, you can spray the leaves and soil. Just don't spray the plants when you start doing flowering cycle cause you'll get bud rot and all sorts of problems then, but I water them then let it dry out for 1-2 days depending, let the soil kinda dry out like the top inch or 2 of the top soil then water again.
I just use a misting bottle for the clones

Oh and when I cut my clones from the plant sometimes they might stay perky, I have a clone right now that is still really perky and the others have droopy leaves, maybe like how you said curl, but that's because shock to the plant, it will be fine once roots establish assuming the plant takes root again, hell I've even recut a cut plant, and it rooted the 2nd time. No idea why but try not to disturb the stock and the root area, the roots might not develop then. Just let them sit in the same spots and just keep watering them as they dry out, always allow time for drying cause the roots need AIR as well

If you are using solo cups .... You can use a large or medium ( whichever will fit your plants best ) plastic bag . Cut a hole in the corner after its on and zip it tight at bottom of solo cup . All the way to the cup . Pull on top of bag to adjust it and leaves and voila . Cheap humidity some.
Hope that helps

Light inhibits rooting, and so does lack of oxygen. That was the worst possible cloner you could have chosen. Peat pellet + plastic bag= rooted cutting. Or peat moss in cup if you don't want to use the pellets. Something to keep light out and be moist but also airy, peat's easy to find. Could use soil as a last resort. And when I said plastic bag I meant baggie upside down over it to make a dome, not peat pellet inside closed bag. Just sitting over it. Needs to get slight amount ofair movement. I cut one corner of the bag off for air too.

the clones are looking good and healthy tho i checked and got somethings that looked like pin molds to me in the cups so i scratched the molds out and sprayed the whole bucket and zipbag and THE CLONES with undiluted rubbing surgical alcohol...then sprayed them with plain water would it harm them?

Did you let the rubbing alcohol dry before you put the bag and bucket back on or your plant back in ? Generally alcohol will evaporate at a quick rate . Not sure if it will hurt the little one , I do know that some will soak their buds in some kind of alcohol ( not sure if it's booze or rubbing )
And it apparently helps with joint pain and other ailments .
Not sure If I would dabble , would need guinea pig first lol .

Youre absolutely right about that and yes you put sugar leafs/buds in the bottle of rubbing alcohol and you shake it up nice then apply it to your back or anywhere u have pain and rub for 15-20 mins it works wonders!!!. Its an old Mexican remedy my grandma use to do that i remember living in Mexico late 90's and she would also boil the stems of the plant and make herbal tea and no longer needed her pharmacy pills that would do more bad than good. Hope this helps for anybody that was curious. Happy Growing
