First time Cfl grower need tips on strain choice!

I was hoping for some suggestions for strains for a first time CFLgrower

im gonna be growing in 50 gallon storage containers
and planned on either having one really nice sized plant or maybe 2
also will be using CFLs due to the small space

any tips would be great :)

What about as far as least smell or and easy to work with? I'm growing in my parents attic so stealth is at the highest prioority!?

40" x 21.5" x 18" (l x w x h)
I also plan on using 150 watts of CFL bulbs and 2 light bars on the side for side lighting
ill more than likely be using organic potting soil from Home Depot considering I don't know where to buy potting soil specific for growing MJ.

Well that's the dimensions of the box but once I flip it over the actual dimensions of my grow room would be 40" High, 21.5" W , and 18" L if that makes sense

Ok, so you don't have too much space to play with.

An indica is probably your best bet. I haven't grown any autos, so I can't really recommend that. I'd go with a single Northern Lights plant, which I found to be pretty resistant to the abuse I gave it as I was learning how to grow.

Check out some threads on Low Stress Training - it'll help you keep the plant short, and help expose more flowers to the available light.

Northern lights is probably what I'm going with I was thinking of M32 or whatever it's called. It's supposedly odorless and was derived from NL. I was planning on doing two tubs one plant each with a good topping I hope to get at least an oz each considering my first grow

I wouldn't set the yield bar quite so high. An ounce per plant for a beginner is ambitious, so focus on keeping the plant alive and healthy from seed to harvest. Your yield will increase with every completed grow.

Also, I've yet to find an odourless strain. Without a carbon scrubber, you will smell it in the air during bloom. Just a heads-up.

My first cfl grow gave me about half o from 5 plants... they were airy fluffy buds that were mainly leaf. However with lights that were closer I would have yielded more. You will need some kind of odor control I had 10 tiny plants (6 to 8 inch) and my buddy came to drop off a bag and wondered why I needed it cause my who house smelled of skunk.

I too went with Norther Lights for my 1st try . mine took a lot of abuse . basically I couldn't kill her . as far as odor goes .. that's how they advertise it but she got smelly last couple of weeks in flowering so keep that in mind. no smell at all until very late flowering . mine was from Nirvana btw

I've done Sour D, and ECSD under CFL's, and both have a little smell, but nothing overpowering.

My suggestion is wait until you have your own place. If you get caught, your mommy and daddy are going to be held responsible too, as it's in their house, not to mention, you are disrespecting them/ their wishes if you feel you must hide it.

I don't see ANY need for a 50 gallon pot if you only plan to give a couple hundred w of CFL's.

How do you plan to fit a 50 gal. pot in that space?

Last Winter, I tried CFL's for the first time, and got 2 3/4 oz. from one plant in a 5 gal. pot.
