Hey guys this is my first grow journal, and my first grow ever,

I ve decided after ready many different journals to experiment with the bubbleponic system. for this grow i have invested many hours of research so far and this is what i have come up with so far

I will grow in a growing tent (darkroom) dimensions :32"x32"x68"

lighting : 315 watt muti spectrum cfl with a MULTI SPECTRUM CONFIGURATION
Includes one 30K Spiral, one 41K Spiral and one 50K Tube style bulb

and a 90w UFO led light with red (85%) an blue (15%) config

and have the usual airpump, feeding tube set up..

For this grow i decided to grow a strain called White queen 60/40 sative/indica mix which i am currently germinating with the paper towel method and waiting for those little guys to sprout
since i did not want to wait any more i have set up what i have so far in my closet as i m still waiting to get my grow tent as it was out of stock :s

none the less this is what i have come up so far please any feedback is welcome

since this will be my first grow i will be posting any questions that run threw my mind and hope to get as many relevant answers as possible

Rose man is dead to RIU............. Your setup looks fine so far. If you have a specific question I would be happy to try to help.

Hey Doc, Thanks for the support so far i am waiting for my seeds to germinate.

i was intrigued how to set up the nutrient pump to the seed. should stick it into the rockwool if so how deep and at what hight? or should i just let it sprinkle? what would be the ideal positioning of the rockwool in the net pot?

You might want to shut down most of those lights until they are poking up out of the soil, because they're just burning up electric right now. Leave that center CFL on, and that'll be plenty til they sprout. :)

I understand your new but dude really. Your asking some really basic question that leads me to believe you may not be prepared for the road ahead. You need to sped some time doing some reading. Get a good grow book and read it. Then read it again. Or go to the beginner section of the site and read the sticky threads at the top of the page.

I did some research and i m still puzzled about the actual temperature in the grow area and the temperature right at the level of the plant....
got my water temp to a steady 70f -72f and added an oscillating fan in order to keep the air moving in the closet. temp right above the plant is around 90f-95f and in the closet the temp is around 76-80.

Sorry if my question seems evident to you i m just trying to get it all calibrated so that as soon as i start my grow things will go smoothly from the very beginning.

Seeds still havent germinated 24h since i started... i guess they re taking their own sweet time

Your temps are to high. You would want the canopy to be at 72 if you can. Dont kill yourself trying to do it though. Its ideal but do the best you can. The temps in my tent are at 80 with lights on and drop to 70 in the dark and I have great results. I use a 400hps in a sealed hood. Without a sealed hood your going to have a hard time getting all the heat out. You can do it but its tough. You will want your humidity in flowering at 35%ish. Hope this helps

thanks Doc!!

that was exactly what i was looking for.. Since my set up is sitting in the closet i cant hookup the inline fan hence having a problem with the heat that seems to come from the CFL ballast, do you think i could start of using only the UFO led light. that will be temporary i should receive my grow tent by the end of the week or early next week. I hope to see my seeds germ tomorrow morning!!

Due to heat problem i am experiencing in this temporary set up in my closet i will have to go with my UFO led light for the time being.. Are those LEDs fine for seedlings?

Would you know how high above the plant i can put the LED light at this point? since this technology is still fairly new it is hard to gather information about it, if anyone has any hands on experience with this 90W UFO led light please let me know!!

I hope my seeds will germ over night and that i will be able to introduce them into my system in order to start my grow asap.. I cant wait any longer lol

^Looking good. Just make sure that those paper towels don't get too dry or it'll kill them quick as hell. They're ready to be planted though, so i'd be getting on that ASAP. :)
