First Time Box Building

So I'm about to get my medical card and start growing my first legal batch of plants in my garage. I've grown several times before but am trying to do this seriously this time around. I'm planning to rotate about 18-24 plants at a time, 6-8 in veg, flower, and clone stages at a time. I have pretty much unlimited space in my private garage and neighbors who are also on medical or don't care so I'm not much worried about the stealthiness of the project.
I'm planning on building 3 separate boxes for the project just to keep light and air rotation and temp at optimal settings. I'm on a fairly low budget so I plan to build the boxes as needed for the first round. I'm planning on just fluorescents for the clones to start and then a MH for veg and eventually an HPS as well for flowering in the 3rd box.
So basically I'm hoping for some suggestions for my clone box to start. I estimated a box about 2.5'x2.5'x3' with one or possibly two hanging 2' fluorescents with blue bulbs and a small computer type fan built in.
Any suggestions on this idea would be greatly appreciated as I've never approached growing this way, I've always used closet spaces before.

I guess I'm asking if this set up makes sense? If there is a better way to utilize my space for better harvests?

makes sense i wish i had room for 3 boxes to grow.you will have a continuous harvest if timed right.
your first legal batch? how many plants can you grow legally with that card?

Technically its 6 mature or 12 immature, but I'm being named someones caretaker also. I'm going to be over my legal limit by a few (like 20 hah) but fuck it, who's going to know if they're in a box?

I would try to keep it legal... you went through the trouble of getting legal...

In AK, the State has the right to come by and inspect your legal grow... not sure where you are...

I just built a flowering box... waiting on my 600HPS... click here to check it out... https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/101376-mini-aeroponic-garden-21.html

Do you need to have 3 boxes?

Can you keep a small clone box and a bigger flower box... bypass the vegg and flower short clones...

Take clippings from the clones about to go into flower and you're rocking the next batch...

Stagger the plants, and you will have a constant rotations, SOG style...

Just a thought... you could keep a mom too, but that is extra lights and space needed, which usually mean more money...

I'm a newb man... just saying what I have seen to make the most sense...

Go with what you know...

Cheers...

I'm down in the greater LA area, I don't actually have to register my growing, I'm really not worried about getting inspected. Way too small time in this kind of area to get any attention.
Word, that's a good idea. I was under the impression that SoG was usually hydro, but I guess it could be done in dirt as well. Build a long instead of tall closet or even get two smaller lights and make two shelves.
Can anyone link or give me an example of where they got small fans to build in, lots of people say "computer" fans, but these don't just plug into the wall, and I don't want to have to start wiring things up.

ooooh.... never get a smaller light... a bigger fan yes... but a smaller light is just unethical man.. lol...

Good Luck...

What you need are small 12 volt pc cooling fans, then find an old cell phone charger that reads 120 V AC input and 12V DC output, then wire the positive and ground wires together. All you have to do then is plug in the cell phone charger to power the fan. voila.

i have a motorcycle battery trickle charger rated for 1 amp.that will power a few fans easily.
